Walks range from jogs that include stair sets to a leisurely coffee shop patio run. Walks can be social with multiple dogs or solo upon request. Large, medium, or small are welcome. Grew up with a Golden Retriever, and two very energetic Border Collies so I understand high energy. The past two years I have raised two loyal intelligent Saint Bernard girls and I absolutely love large breeds.

I am a very active person, but will go at the pace the dog is comfortable with and what the owner would like. If it is the dogs only exercise for the day I can make the walk longer or jog with them. I have walked a wide age range of dogs, from puppies to "elderly" dogs, so I am good with different paces. I prefer to only walk a few dogs at a time, but could walk more if needed.

I can walk leisurely at your dog's pace, which includes stops to smell things or great other dogs, or I can walk briskly and be in charge of the walk with less smell breaks and only stops for potty breaks. I'd prefer you tell me how you want them walked.
I can also run any length of time for up to an hour with your dog. If your dog can't run for very long we can start shorter or more slowly and progress at their pace.
I have also taught both of my dogs how to walk and would be happy to do the same for yours if they aren't good at walking yet.

Any walking or running services can be with just one dog or with multiple dogs if you have more than one, but I won't bring along any other dogs.

Depending on the dogs age and activity level we will always have a refreshing walk no less than 30 minutes. We may go to the park or walk around the city. Either way we will have a great time, enjoying the outdoors. There may be multiple dogs on our walk but if your furry pooch isn't too friendly we will be sure to enjoy the walk just us two.

Leisurely walks with minimum stress and no hurry. Pups are walked until they potty 1 and 2. If pups seem to be a bit more excited, walks can be active where I will run with them to give them the exercise they need. Mutiple dogs can be walked if from the same parents, Dogs are walked solo otherwise.

I am an active individual. I do like to go for a jog occasionally, however when I go for a walk it is leisurely. I do prefer to walk no more than 2 dogs at once. However, I will manage dogs in case of walking more than one dog at a time. While walking the dogs, I do ensure that any waste on the road or sidewalk is cleaned immediately. I will also provide dogs with food and water by following schedule that dog owners have provided.

I can provide 30-60 minute walks. I will travel to your home and walk your dog in your neighborhood. Does your dog enjoy running like my Husky? If so, I can also take your dog on a run! If your dog is friendly, I can bring my dog along for the walk but if you want it to be a solo walk, that's okay too!

Usually leisurely walks, but that depends on the dogs personality and needs. I usually walk one dog at a time, but there have been instances where I have walked two at once, only if the dogs are friendly towards other dogs. I have found that several of the dogs I walk on a daily basis enjoy their walks with a pup friend. But again, depends on personality of the dog.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Milwaukee

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Milwaukee, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Milwaukee. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
