I can do multiple dogs walks depending on how your dog acts towards other dogs. I would possibly be walking with my children. We do go on walks with our dog and they do great with our dog and with other dogs. I have had multiple breeds of dogs and I know some of their temperaments. I am active but I am not a runner. I will start out walking at least a mile and then we can proceed from there depending on what the owner desires.

Walks will be solo. I enjoy intimacy rather than money making. I would like to ensure that every dog walked receives my full attention and care during their time with me. A dog will enjoy a nice leisurely walk, an energetic exploration of a park, or maybe even a jog depending on the specific dog's energy level and interests. I believe giving a dog a one-on-one experience helps to make the walk much more enjoyable for both them and the walker.

Depending on your pets and their needs! I love going on walks, hikes and am active all the time. If your pets like to run I will gladly run with them! If your pet is not as energetic, a slow steady paced walk sounds nice to me as well. I can manage multiple animals as I have two of my own.

I would take your dog for a leisurely walk to get them in the fresh air and get moving. I am able to take 2 dogs at a time. I have experience with large dogs who pull on leashes. If there is a park or trail nearby I would prefer that to walking along a road, but am not opposed to walking on a sidewalk. I also clean up after pets.

I provide a One on One experience for you pup.
I don't try to make more money by dog sitting several dogs at once.
Your cherished family member will get my total attention.

I love your dog, but $25 a day (24 hrs) just isn't worth the extreme responsibility, and time involved in taking care of someone's treasured pup.
I take their safety and comfort very seriously.
Consequently, my prices are higher than other sitters on this site. But, you can rest assured that when you get home, you will be greeted by a dog that is relaxed, healthy and happy.

I volunteered for eight summers in Denali National Park, Alaska, as a dog walker for the sled-dogs that are used to patrol the park in the winter.
I've also had my own dogs (and cats) that were treasured family members. :-)

No more leaving your furry friend in a cage all day. I will make sure your pup is safe, relaxed and happy while you are gone. I consider walking your dog everyday as my daily workout. It's always nice to have some company and motivation on my walks and hikes, rather than walking alone :-)
I also enjoy brushing dogs and cats, with the occasional neck and shoulder massage thrown in.

I know from experience how important your pet is to you (a loved member of the family). I promise to care for them as if they are my own.
To ease your worries, I will send you pictures and videos of our activities daily if requested.

I take them on a relaxed walk through our quiet neighborhood. If the days are Hot we walk in the evening when the pavement is cool. I only take one dog at a time unless I have a helper with me. We also have a great area up at the high school with a lot of room to romp around and run on the grass.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Spokane Valley

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Spokane Valley, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Spokane Valley. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
