i can walk up to 5/6 small dogs or 2/3 medium sized dogs at one time . i used to work at a pet day care and my responsibilities were grooming from time to time, making sure all the dogs in the day care get along, cashier, bathing the dogs and walking them. I usually spend 30/45 minutes a walk

I would love to take your precious dog to the dog park to get some exercise and interact with other friendly dogs. I would also play fetch with the doggies. I would love to take the dog to the park and expose him/her to new smells, new faces, and a whole lot of attention. Depending on what your needs are, I could take them on frequent walks ranging from 10 minutes-1 hour, come and stay at your house overnight, and drop in and take your precious ones for walks, and let them outside. I am comfortable handling 2 dogs at a time, but would dedicate a special time to your dog if you wanted them to walk solo.

I have numerous neighborhoods, parks and waterfronts to explore with pups just blocks from my home. I tend to do 5+ miles of walks/runs a day when I have a pup with me depending on the animals ability and where they would like to explore. I also have an SUV that I take to the mountains often.

Leisure walks in our neighborhood and to the dog parks. Sometimes I take them to Green Lake or over to Volunteer Park. I like to play fetch with the dogs in fenced in areas and am always careful with interactions with other dogs and unless in a fenced in area the dogs are always leashed.

I have had a golden lab for the past seven years. Over all of those years I have taken my dogs on many types of walks. My favorite was taking my dog on long hikes in the foothills when I lived in Boise. I also used to run with my dog a lot to parks and then have the dog play at a park and then run back home.

Other types of experience I have had is watching and walking multiple dogs at once so I would feel comfortable walking more than one.

I am able to walk two medium/large dogs at a time or 3 small dogs. I can range between a leisurely walk or an active jog depending on what your pet needs. I can take your pets on preferred routes or to new places and adventures. I will bring my own bags to clean up after them and will make sure they are safe, active, and happy the entire walk through.

Dogs staying with us generally go for a couple of long walks a day - usually averaging 3-5 miles per day. On the weekends we often go for longer walks or hikes in the nearer national forests.

On a leisurely walk, I can definitely handle a few dogs; however, on runs I would work best with just one dog. I can walk as short or as long a distance and/ or time the owners would prefer their pets to be active. For old or disabled dogs, I absolutely understand and have no problem breaking the walk up into smaller segments to not over-exert or harm the dog in any way.
I can take the dog(s) out around the block, or I can also take them on hikes-- however is best in the eyes of the pets' owners.

If your dogs like to run, I'll run; if your dogs like to walk, I'll walk! Whatever fits the dog fits me and I am adaptive. I love taking dogs to local parks and local dog parks, if they get along with other dogs.
Cuddling, playing, and petting are always included.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Seattle

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Seattle, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Seattle. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
