I walk leisurely and allow the dogs to occasionally sniff. I can walk up to three dogs at once, unless they are very large. I have a nice route that I travel with my own dogs that has minimal traffic activity. I usually have someone walking with me, so there would be two, possibly three of us walking. I can walk half hour twice a day.

I like to take dogs on walks on the local walking trials so they can have the ability to run and play as well as enjoy a nice leisurely walk. I'm able to take two dogs at a time that get along pretty well with each other. My dog enjoys going to the local county park and walking on the hiking trails alongside me. Some dogs will be more active so I base the walk on the dogs and their needs. Some dogs just like to stay in their home area and not go any further.

My walks include checking to see if there is a local dog park. If there is no local dog park that the owner/dog prefers I would take them to the Loganberry Dog Park which includes time socializing with other dogs and people. It also includes a one-on-one walk on the hiking trails that the park has. There active and leisurely trails, I would do which ever is right for the dog. If the dog prefers company, I have an active Border Collie that enjoys company and long walks.

I prefer to walk one dog at a time providing undivided, quality time with each animal. The dog determines the type of walk, for instance my 9 year old Australian Shepherd enjoys a leisurely stroll while my 11 month old Australian Shepherd puppy enjoys a quick paced walk with multiple stops to sniff and explore. It all depends on the dogs age, personality, and physical abilities.

Walks will be long and will include my dog Mumford. My dog is very playful and friendly and gets along well with all other animals.
I will take dogs to the dog park or a long walk along trails.
I have multiple dog parks around my house as well as an off leash dog beach nearby.
If owner has more than one dog I will leave my dog at home and walk two dogs at a time.
Dogs are guaranteed to have a good time!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Everett

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Everett, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Everett. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
