Leisurely walks or active runs if needed. I could also do multiple dogs so long as they have leash manners. Walk are around the neighborhood. I am also able to bike with dogs who have excellent leash manners for an added fee. I use the Bike Tow leash - the best bike leash on the market.

I can do active walks or leisurely walks, depending on the energy level and needs of the dog. I've had experience walking high-energy large dogs, as well as lower-energy dogs who are more interested in strolling and sniffing. I've also has some experience with dogs who are reactive to other dogs. Thus, based on the specific dog, I can follow the procedures established by the owner(s) concerning how to respond when the dogs is "triggered" (whether that involves immediately jogging away from the trigger, or by clicking and treating at a distance, etc.). I'll gladly walk up to 2 dogs at a time, provided they're from the same household.

Leisurely and active .... around the neighborhood ; i refuse to go to a dog park; working at a vet hospital i see a lot of dogs coming in for emergency surgery from dog fights. I will walk no more than two dogs at a time; i will give them love and affection and make sure they urinate and defecate on our walks.

I have walked many dogs. I am experienced. If you dog pulls on the leash that is fine. I understand not all dogs are great at it. such as my old dog was not but i always walked him. I also run a lot so If you want your dog to be fit i can do jogs with you animals. benefits me and the animal. I try not to walk more then 2 dogs at once, but if you have more then 2 ill just take 2 at a time. I wont leave one of your dogs left out.

I can go on leisurely walks (to fulfill my activity trackers!) with multiple dogs. There are a bunch of lovely dog friendly neighborhoods nearby that I can take your furry family member to explore. I can handle up to three small dogs or two medium/large dogs. I'm a tall, strong guy who can handle an easily excited dog who just HAS to chase the squirrels.

Our family enjoys taking our guests on walks as a group. All four of us enjoy incorporating dog walks with our family walks. These are leisurely walks that are at least 30min. Large breed dogs are walked by my husband Aaron. We appreciate when our guests bring their own poop baggies.

All walks are unique to the dog.
I can provide private walks if your dog is older, walks better alone, or if that's just what you prefer.
I can provide group walks for dogs that like to be a part of a pack or maybe for a dog that needs to learn how to walk by example.

Walks can be a leisurely walk through the park and through the quiet neighborhoods; they can also be fast- paced and tailored to tucker out the most energetic pups!

I like getting exercise and what could make it more fun than with a dog. I can either do an active or leisurely paced depending on the age and health of your dog. I can walk up to two dogs but prefer no more than that. If there are hiking trails near-by or dog parks that your dog likes to explore, I'm happy to take them there as well.

Walks are designed on a case by case basis to meet the needs of your dog. If your dog is active we will walk at a faster pace. If your dog is a senior or has medical needs walk will be adapted or adjusted to meet the needs of the dog. My goal is to make your dog as happy and comfortable as possible.

I am happy to do leisurely walks for any length of time, with either a single dog or multiple dogs. On a leisurely walk, I like to allow my dog to stop and sniff wherever he or she chooses. I am also happy to take the dog to a nearby park to play ball or frisbee.

I also enjoy taking dogs on active walks or runs, if the dog is more energetic. On runs, I will jog at a pace that is comfortable for the dog.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Arlington

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Arlington, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Arlington. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
