I enjoy going on long walks and even jogging sometimes. I like to go to the park or dog park with my dog, it's always nice to get outside, she loves it! I have no problem walking a few dogs at a time. I have a sidewalk all throughout my neighborhood that I use. I'm very active and love sunshine. I love the outdoors and would enjoy walking your dog!

My walks will be catered to your dogs needs. If they are very active I will most likely come prepared in active clothing to walk/run with them depending on the weather, or a very fast walk. I usually match the pace of the dog I am walking unless they are pulling uncontrollably I have some great techniques to help with that.

I usually take a max of two dogs on a walk. I can alternate jogging/ walking if needed. I like to take walks in neighborhoods or through nature if there is a paved path. I can walk two or three times a day, and I don't mind being outdoors. I adapt the walk according to the needs of the dog. If I am with a dog that has a lot of energy, I do not mind running in order to get energy out! If I am with a dog that does not require that, I am happy to slow it down as well!

All dogs walked must be dog/people friendly (no pullers). Dogs must have a leash or harness when walked. Will take them for a leisure walk in their neighborhood. I can walk 1-2 small dogs together, large dogs are walked solo. I am available to take your dog for a mid-day or early evening walk.. At the end of their walk I will replenish their water and give them a treat (if allowed). Sorry, I do not walk dogs during the summer months due to the Texas heat.

Hello! My name is Lacy. I'm a stay at home mom to three wonderful boys! With over 20 year experience in caring for dogs, your pup will feel unconditionally loved here at four-legged haven. We've rescued many animals and are always the first to help an animal in need. I do feel comfortable administrating medication if needed. We do not have animals of our own but I do watch up to four dogs at a time so it's important that your pup gets along with other pups. As a stay at home mom, I will be here with your pup for most of the day. If I do have to step out, it's never longer than just a few hours. If you prefer your animal be left in a crate while I'm out, that's fine, if not, I'm fine with pup roaming freely. We look forward to meeting your precious pup!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Round Rock

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Round Rock, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Round Rock. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
