Leisurely walks are common. Can do multiple dogs or solo. Also can work on leash skills. Can do some active running/speed walking. I know about the back of the hand test on the ground for temperature toleration for the dog's paws. (Can also take care of horses). I can do just about anything requested.

I can be a slow walker at times, but I am always up for a good run. I can walk multiple dogs at a time, I believe the more the better. I also am a very patient walker for the easily distracted and slower paced walkers. I don't mind if you have to sniff every tree and bug that we see. If you want to take a walk/ride to the dog park we can hang out and play for awhile as well if you would like.

If the dog is a more active, fit dog, the walks will be more active with intervals of jogging and walking. If the dogs are older, or not as active they will be more leisurely walks. If there are multiple dogs in one household, and they get along and are the same fitness/energy level, I will walk them together. If they require different activity levels then they will be solo walks.

Leisurely...if they want a more active walk I can do that as well! I am good with up to 2 dogs for a walk! I usually walk about 7 + miles per day with my own dog- so I love to walk...all ages, all speeds I love to walk with dogs! Multiple dogs are good, and those who just want a break from waking !

Leisurely walk on a leash to get exercise out in the open air. We will walk for either thirty minutes or one hour, whichever you prefer and whatever your budget allows. Let me walk your dog for you and ensure good health and a happy dog. Dogs need and crave exercise and outside time. Let me help meet that need and make your life easier in the process.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Houston

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Houston, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Houston. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
