My walks are active but can be leisurely to accommodate each dog's ability. I also take into consideration the age and health of the dog. I walk them at a steady pace and not super fast or super slow. I allow them to stop and sniff every once in a while but like to keep them moving if possible. I can walk two to three dogs at a time depending on how well they walk on a leash and how they get along with each other. My neighborhood is very dog friendly. I am also within walking distance of two parks. Depending on the weather, I usually walk in the mornings but I am flexible. I normally walk about thirty minutes but can walk up to an hour.

If your dog needs a little bit extra exercise, we have a great neighborhood as well as a park right behind our house. I can tale medium and small dogs out on walks, but 2 max at a time! Too much leash tangling! :)
Don't worry if your dog is not good at not pulling the leash or barking at strangers. Our Puggle puts up the same fit!
My daughter who boards in our home as well is a runner, so she is able to take stronger dogs and any dog who need to just expel energy!

Go to the park play a little catch and let them play with the kids for a while then go to a dog park and let them run around . Im up for multiple dog walks and also solos. I live in a townhome community with very nice green spaces along a creek. My walks would be leisurely allowing the dog to stop whenever necessary to play or sniff around. I am a very patient person. Our walks would be at least thirty minutes each time. I prefer walking only one dog at a time so as to give my full undivided attention to only one.

Hello! :) My walks consists of leisure walks and every once in a while active play! I, being a dog owner myself, usually enjoy walks and active play to give the dog the exercise it needs! I do prefer less than two big dogs at a time, and less than four small dogs at a time. I don't mind hosting multiple dogs though! The more the merrier! I do have one request; and that is if the dog has issues tugging on the leash, I prefer to only host the one. I know how strong dogs can get whenever they pull and tug at you!

I enjoy the out doors with my new furry friends, especially great weather days! Exercise may consist of fast pace running, slow pace runs, walking, solo or multiple dogs, fetching as activities or all in all just some fun in the sun playing! That is if the weather permits it. If a dog has a medical condition or personality to which it can not be around other animals to do these activities, I usually will put together something fitting for them to where they are comfortable and safe. By chance if we must stay indoors, I keep the dogs moving to an extent to get a little exercise in them for the day. I personally with my own dogs, past and present, find it very important for any dog type or age to have some form of exercise in their daily routine. Even if it is just a small short walk to the end of the street and back home. Being active can save a dog in many ways than one.

However you would like the dog or dogs walked. Multiple dogs, active dogs, slow dogs, pushy dogs, aggressive dogs towards other dogs or people. I lost my baby after 12 years who was not friendly towards other dogs. So i have had a lpt of experience with that.

My walks are leisurely with a single or multiple dogs. I am cautious of my surroundings and would not put the dog(s) at risk. With my own dog, I have experience with leash pulling and have learned how to correct that. With other dogs, I have experience with leash aggression.

I love taking multiple dogs on walks but I can handle solo operations. I love taking dogs to dog parks and let them run and play if its allowed. I love taking walks down parks with lots of trees. ill do whatever you would like me to do for your dog. I am CPR and first aid certified and I know what to do during emergencies, so you dont have to worry!

Walks will be both leisurely and active. Solo or together ( depending on what you would prefer) Love to give fresh air and let your babies enjoy the outdoors. I like to make the walks different each time or switch up the days on where the walk will go.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Garland

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Garland, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Garland. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
