I have two active Weimaraners that I walk together everyday of my own. We usually walk at a very brisk pace but we always take time to smell the flowers and water the grass. However, I would definitely set my pace to my client's needs and make sure exercise was accomplished but fun was had. It's all about being out in the sunshine, enjoying the opportunity to be out, and living life to the fullest for our furry friends.

I am an avid animal lover who works from home. My husband and I are a young couple who enjoy pet sitting for friends and family. We have a fur baby of our own. Her name is Bella. She is a 7 year old Pomeranian. She loves being around people and loves to play. She is very good with other animals.

I know how stressful it can be to find someone to watch your fur baby. This is why we like to offer an environment for your pet that is as close to home as possible.. Pets are allowed on the furniture. We even welcome then to sleep in our bed with us if that's what they are used to. We will love and care for your pet as if they are our own.

I am at the house for the majority of the day so I am here for your pets every need whether it be letting them out, feeding, walking, playing, or just loving on them. We have a medium sized fenced back yard and two parks nearby that I like to take the dogs to every day. In between walks and playing, I usually snuggle with the dogs while I work from home.

Mostly leisurely, can do multiple dogs, can be active and run if that is owner's wishes, good with controlling aggressive dogs and dogs that pull on leashes, prefer morning or evening/night, afternoon walks are alright if that is preferred by owner and if I am available

Depending on what the dog likes/age/etc, I either take them for a run (very active breeds/dogs) or a walk. I do not walk more then two-three at a time (if it's three, it's always from the same household and those dogs are used to walking with eachother), and only 1 at a time for runs. Exercise is a bonding time with dogs, and it's a time for both of us to enjoy, so I keep it to a minimum.

Depends on the dog and area. If possible, would love to take walk to nearby park where dog is free to roam and play for 15-20 minutes before walking back home. If that's not possible, finding analogous grassy area for pet to do similar activities would be preferable. Anywhere they can get off the leash mid-walk to play.

Barefoot Mutts Dog Boarding is the perfect alternative to your typical boarding experience. We are here all of the time, for starters. We sit on over 2/3 of an acre, and play outside as often as we can, and boy do we play hard.

We have other friends around to get to know, also teaching your pups a bit of patience and self control (ducks, chickens, bunnies). we love all critters here, big and small, and don't cater to strictly canines, so your pups will experience critters they may never see elsewhere. (Our critters are all in their own homes and coops, for everyone's safety).

Our pups, Freya and Hexe LOVE having company, and welcome temporary pack mates to run amok with. They're both very accepting of other pups and are pretty quick to show guests the ropes.

Please feel free to contact us for a meet and greet or quick play date to get things started. We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends.

The walking pace will be left up to the owner! It may be best for geriatric dogs to be walked at a leisurely pace, preferably in fair weather conditions. I am also willing to walk quickly/run for younger more athletic dogs that are full of energy! It's also up to the owner's preference on whether or not the walks are solo or multiple. I am aware some dogs need individual attention or are more difficult to manage on a leash and I would suggest for those dogs a solo walk. For the dogs who love socialization, or if you have multiple dogs you want to be walked together I can be sure to walk them in a group. If you only have one dog, and would like for your dog to be walked with another I'm willing to bring mine along as a pal.

One on one leisurely or fast paced whichever your pet needs to make sure they are given the appropriate time outside to roam and explore their territory of your neighborhood. Also am willing to walk multiple dogs or even take them to a local dog park to play freely with their friends.

I used to walk my sister's pomeranian and her Boston terrier. I would walk them both at the same time for approximately one quarter of a mile. The was was usually vigorous. I walk my own beagle daily around two blocks in my neighborhood. I have walked two dogs at an active pace many times. I can also do leisurely walks if requested.

I love to be more active on the walks I take with my own dog! With that being said, I am more than happy to enjoy a casual stroll with one to two dogs at a time. I prefer to go the pace that the dog is comfortable with. I have leash trained my Australian Shepherd, walked my sister's two Great Danes, and helped friends get rid of the leash pulling business with their own pups. :)

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Fort Worth

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Fort Worth, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Fort Worth. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
