My walking style is continuing the same way that you do when you are at home. I am also happy to add a daily hour of training to teach your best friend how they should behave when Mom and Dad are doing the walking. I am great with multiple doggies at the same time as long as they are from the same household and it follows what the parents want. I do not engage other people/dog's during our walks, in fact I will avoid and when asked politely tell anyone on approach to not stop or talk / pet. Luckily that isn't an issue very often in our neighborhood, Just down the street is a great long peaceful trail that goes for miles and miles. I always bring my dog first aid kit and of course plenty of water for everyone. Plenty of walks and physical and mental stimulation so we get lots of one on one time and avoid dog parks during the peak season for all sorts of dangers.

I can walk your dog(s) from a leisurely pace up to full sprint depending on what they want. I can handle multiple doggies at one time, and can walk them multiple times a day if needed. I have 7 doggies of my own, so I understand the importance of keeping them active and attending to.

Over 40 lbs will be two maximum. Anything under 40 lbs I can walk up to four at a time. I am extremely active when I walk dogs, allowing them to have time for plenty of exercise and play. I am currently recovering from a motorcycle accident and being around animals helps me out a lot. Taking walks is tremendous help when it comes to my recovery.

I can offer a variety of walks depending on the dogs needs. I have three cocker spaniels so I have the ability to walk multiple dogs if requested. Most walks will be leisurely walks; however we can pick up the pace if an active walk is needed. The price quoted is for dog walks unless otherwise requested.

When going on walks we like to take them on nice leisurely walks. Have the pups stretch out their legs from being inside, let them take in the environment, and do the sniff hunt that they all love to do so much!

Depending on the breed we'll slowly ease our way into making it a little more active, we'll work accordingly to your pup. We understand that bigger pups need a little more activity than smaller pups would!

Places take we might take them:
- The Park
- A Trail

(All with your approval and what you feel most comfortable with, we'll work with your choice)

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Carrollton

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Carrollton, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Carrollton. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
