Being smart and responsible are of course important characteristics for a dog sitter, but the most important quality is to be caring. And Melissa is one of the most caring people I know. Melissa has cared for our Chihuahua, Pixie, multiple times over the past ten years of Pixie's life. Our dog is a typical Chihuahua, being a tempermental little dog who does not like everyone. But Pixie adores Melissa, who has always given her the utmost level of care. On each occasion, Melissa has always accepted Pixie into her home. Pixie especially loved to spend time with Melissa's dog (half-wolf!) Sasha, who was Pixie's best friend. Sadly, Sasha has passed. Melissa always has taken the best of care of Pixie, allowing her to snuggle on her lap and even under the covers in her bed. Pixie cries all night if she doesn't have human contact while sleeping, and Melissa was happy to oblige her! About: Growing up on and planning to own a farm, it's been my mission to love on and take care of animals. I've had horses, mules, cows, donkeys, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and everything in between. From raising kittens to taking care of crazy bulls, I've seen a wide range of animals. I love them! I started Rover as a student in college, and I loved the stress-relief benefits I experienced because of it! As I transitioned to married life being an entrepreneur alongside my husband, it’s given us an alternative stream of income while still being a therapeutic source of fun and relaxation. I know it can be hard to not be constantly present to meet your pet's needs— we hate being away from our own cats and dogs! I would act as a stand-in for when you couldn't be there and do my absolute best to provide the exact same care you would treat them with yourself. Our animals are our family.

About: I have trained my own pets if you show me what you do with yours I'm glad to learn anything new I can walk and feed and water and play with them and give them all the attention in world! I am a bus rider so I will be taking the bus to get o and from I don't really have that much of a busy schedule as long as it's a day beforehand notice! I will be going to my clients homes. If there are any specific needs that need to be done just let me know! I can do whatever you need help with!

“Sami it’s just wonderful. It made me so sad when she went to college,l because we always checked with her first to see if she could stay with our indoor cat TJ. She still does sometimes when she’s home on a break. When she is here with TJ, she sends us photos and keeps us up-to-date. One time, TJ had a nail that was bleeding, so she contacted us right away and I told her where the pet carrier was and she got him to the vet. Everything turned out OK, and she couldn’t have been more professional or competent. You will be so lucky if you’re able to get Sami to take care of your pet”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10! I’ve had dogs growing up but have also been trusted to take care of neighborhood dogs. I’ve done things such as just peeking in to an individuals home to make sure their fur baby is okay but I’ve also done things such as administering medication as needed. I’m currently on a semester break from college so I have plenty of free time to take care of your fur baby! I’m super flexible and can work with you when you need my care :) I am not offering services in my home but I will make sure your baby is safe in your own home! I’ve followed many different pet owners rules & lifestyles so I’m prepared to do whatever you feel is needed!

About: i’m always the go to when it comes to watching family or friends dogs! i have bathed them and made sure medicine was taken on time anything you need i can do! i get off anywhere from 4-6 and will be home the rest of the night with your babies. i often go and spend my whole lunch when i am watching doggies, and wouldn’t rather do anything else! i stay home when i’m not at work so you will never have to worry about your fur baby being lonely! i love doggie snuggles and kisses

Our dog has a lot of past trauma so needs to be handled very patiently and Sarah never fails to do that. She is very responsible about feeding and caring for our dog, and very diligent about exercising her thoroughly. I have also witnessed her befriending tons of stranger’s dogs, dog sitting our friends dogs, and taking in strays off the street. About: I have cared for dogs of all ages (from 4 weeks to 20+ years old) in a variety of settings. Having dog sat in-home and worked at a boarding kennel I am aware of many of the concerns people deal with when entrusting the precious lives of their furred loved ones to a stranger and am willing to do what it takes to ensure you are comfortable with your kiddos in my care. I’m available as needed and able to care for your pet according to your preferred schedule. If for any reason we need to adjust based on additional needs, my schedule is flexible and I am willing to accommodate for your pet’s needs. I am able to care for pets in their own homes and be there as often or little as you like. Whether it’s just checking in regularly or spending time walking and playing or just sitting with your pet I am more than happy to do what is needed.
