I am able to walk dogs to the extent that they need. I can handle a leisurely, fast, or running pace. I will walk dogs solo and not in groups, unless the owners have more than one dog that needs to be walked. Neighborhood walks are usually the best, but I am also up for going to the park or a dog park if nearby.

Leisurely walks- I can take them to the park that the parents are comfortable with.

Active walks- I have active pets, I usually take my pets hiking. I can take your pets hiking if you would like. And I'd they enjoy long walks or playing in the dog park.

Multiple dogs-.it would depend on the size of the dogs. I would prefer to walk smaller dogs. And if the parents ask for, I can walk one at a time.

Solo walks- different sizes are ok and must provide leash that your pet is comfortable using.

I can do leisurely, active, and multiple dog walks. I enjoy working with large and small dogs. We can walk a path that you prefer, or one of the many areas I frequent with my dogs. I can stop and rest for dogs that are older, or that may have health problems that cause them to tire easily. We will definitely avoid areas with heavy traffic, or that may pose a hazard of any kind to your fur baby.

I can provide anything from a walk or run in the park to an intense hike or trail run. Walks can be leisurely or active. I can two dogs at once. I am a runner, so I have no problem running a dog. I can provide short walks or even multiple hour to day long hiking.

I love taking my dog for long leisurely walks and occasional runs. What does your dog enjoy? If they're good on a leash and like company, I'll bring my dog along. Would they like to hike in the woods or head downtown? we can do that. Would you prefer I walk them solo in your neighborhood, Sure, sounds good. Whatever is best for your pet :)

I love to walk around your own neighborhood or if your pup(s) like, we can go for car rides/hikes/parks! Whether it be playing in the backyard/home, on an adventure, or exploring a park; your pup will be safe and happy with me as their dog walker! If you have more than one dog that is not a problem. The maximum amount of pups I can walk are up to two large breeds at a time or one large breed dog and two medium size breeds.

I usually give my dog a leisurely walk, I don't rush him because I want him to experience everything he wants to experience and have potty time as well. I prefer to take one dog at a time, but if the dogs get along, I'll take them all. I usually just walk my dog in the neighborhood but if I know of a dog park nearby (or any park for that matter), ill usually take him there. It makes me so happy to know that Louie (my dog) gets so much pleasure out of a walk and he can run and sniff everything he wants. He has his own world to experience and learns something from each time. If a dog, however, does not get along with mine, I have no problem taking him out on his own and making sure he/she gets all the fresh air they need. I usually take my dog out in the morning and evening. Sometimes I walk him once, but I let him outside a lot on him own (I have a gated from yard). It really depends on the dog and how they’ve been trained. I don’t have any problem adjusting my “walking routine”, as long as the dog(s) get what need out of it. I’ve had my dog for over 2 years now and had a dog before that for 3 years, whom I see once every good while (sisters dog), and they have completely different routines and I’m okay with that.

I can accommodate the type of dogs I have with me. If there are senior dogs, we will go a little more leisurely. Younger and active, I will jog with them. I can take a few dogs at a time. But probably no more than 2-3 to be able to keep an eye on each one of them more individually! If by my neighborhood, I have an excellent 3-5 mile walk with little traffic, it's perfect for dog walking, and my route is directly next to a dog friendly park! Cannot get better than that!

The walks will be based on the needs of the dog. Some dogs are active and love to run and others are a little chunky and just want a nice stroll, I will listen to what the pet owner would like for the care of their dog.

We have a large yard which we can stroll through as well as a subdivision area that has low traffic which will be great for taking the dogs on a longer walk.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Chattanooga

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Chattanooga, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Chattanooga. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
