When I walk any dog, I usually try to aim for at least a 45-minute stroll depending on the size/activity level of the dog and the weather. I can walk multiple dogs at once if socialization is needed, but otherwise will give your pup some one-on-one walk time.

I volunteer at an animal shelter and walk dogs of all kinds. I have walked seniors who take a while to others who walk very fast. I have never walked more than one at once but as long as they get along, I would be willing to. I am not a runner but I have sprinted with dogs for a little bit on their walks when I can tell that they want to run a little bit.

Walks can be either leisurely, with plenty of time to take in all the smells of the area, or a brisk walk for the dogs that need the extra exercise. I am comfortable walking 2 dogs at a time if they are moderately trained. I usually walk my 2 pit bulls on my own and they are very strong and hyper!

Just going for a stroll in a nearby park and or around the block. I let dogs sniff and catch on to dents they aren't use to. I can walk multiple dogs. And I usually do just a leisurely walk to keep their bones and muscles strong. They enjoy my company and they will always know how to watch the road before crossing.(look both ways)

Leisurely or active- I will take the time to walk your dog solo if that's what you want! Willing to work with your needs! I walk my dog multiple times a day and he loves having a buddy. If not I can take the time for hot dog alone. I live in a nice metro park with lots of walking trails and plenty of space.

I only walk dogs together that live in the same household(to avoid any problems). Each dog is different as far as pace so rather your dog be a senior walking leisurely or a young dog that needs a good run I am happy to do either one! I am happy to walk them to just the next house or for 3 miles

I can do very active walks for young dogs with running, hills, and trails or just slow walks for older dogs. I feel comfortable walking 2 dogs at the same time but prefer to have one at a time so I can personalize the walk to that specific dog. I can handle very small dogs to very large dogs.

Top tips for getting started with
a dog walker in Akron
Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Akron, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Akron. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
