I'll go the pace your dog needs. I have previously walked dogs in my home state of New Jersey, so I have experience with and have walked both small and large dogs and can adapt to young, hyper dogs or older, more mellow senior dogs. Solo or multiple dogs, it's up to you!

I'm pretty flexible on times, given that I'm a full-time student. I'll travel more than a mile in Manhattan (for any service). Just let me know where you're at!

I would walk multiple dogs at once only if the pet owners of each dog approved and as long as the dogs got along. I could provide solo dog walks as well being active and jogging with them or leisurely walking with them so that they get some sun and fresh air, what ever the owner requests.

About me: I love to spend my time outdoors, particularly in the city's many parks and green spaces. I'm very active and am able to tailor my services depending on your dog's needs- Short walk around the neighborhood for your bulldog? Run through the park with your lab? No dog is too big or too small.

I prefer to walk no more than 3 dogs at a time. I also offer discounted rates for multiple dogs in the same household.

On the walks I take your dog on, they will be leisurely, active and solo. I plan on spending one on one time with your pet so they get my full attention and dedication. I love taking long walks myself around the city so it will be perfect when I have the company of your pet. I hope to bring any of their favorite toys in order to stop and play with them if they wish to do so on our walks. As well as take them to any of their favorite stops or walking areas. I will walk your dog as long as you request or as long as the dog wants to depending on your instructions!

I am athletic so would enjoy an active dog, but am willing to go on leisurely walks as well! I've walked one dog at a time before, but am willing to try more than one. I like dogs that are not aggressive toward other people/dogs to make our walk more enjoyable.

AnI love to walk with dogs. Can be a short run as well. I usually like to do with one dog at a time and also if the dog is used to can use toys to play with. I also prefer to go to a park and have more freedom to walk and or play. But whatever you prefer, can be since walk around the block or long walk stay with the dog.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in New York

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in New York, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in New York. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
