I like to keep a decent pace, but I am also willing to slow down or wait it they need to sniff or use the restroom. I can also take your dog for a light run/jog or a leisurely stole around the neighborhood or to a near by park upon request. I will also provide my own doggy bags for cleanups along the walk.

I love dogs, I take all kinds of dogs to the dog park to have fun, we go up-and-down trails for exercise and just plain walks just for us 2 to bond! That is what I have done with all my dogs. I have so much fun while doing it. I love all types of dogs from pit bulls two teacup Chihuahuas. I've had many dogs in my life and I created such a bond with all of them. All the dogs have been exercising, healthy, excited, and amazing to be with.

I can cater to dogs of all ages, breeds, and energy levels. I can run and do long walks with very high energy and active dogs and I can also support older, less active, limited mobility dogs. As a dog walker in New York City I was able walk 6 dogs at a time and I was also able to support with dogs who needed solo walks.

Walks are specific to the dog. Younger dogs will typically get more active, playful walks; older dogs typically get more leisurely walks. Walks will vary in length but generally be to a park/ dog park nearby or just a few laps around neighborhood. Some play time will be incorporated, such as fetch or playful chasing. Preferably no more than 2 dogs per walk at this time. Water and snacks available.

Your dog(s) and I will have a fun walk in your area and/or at a nearby park. I may also bring my 1 year old small Lab mix, Maya, along on our walk as long as you are comfortable with this arrangement. I'll make sure your dog(s) are well watered and exercise at a pace that they enjoy!

I will provide whatever you prefer for your dog, typically i walk my own 3 dogs together we will walk at least 2 miles, walks are fairly active i will jog with them occasionally. I can work with any rules or restrictions you have for your pet. If you would like your dog to join the pack the more the merrier, if you would perfer a solo walk that works too. I try to provide a bit of leash training when walking dogs so they learn not to pull or run off and are easier for their owners to handle. I make sure the dogs I walk get the exercise they need to they are nice and relaxed for their owners.

My husband and I are quite the team we love the trails Albuquerque has to offer and visit them often. We love being outdoors and so does our dog Lola she loves going for walks and bike rides when we are going long distances. I would love to share the city with more dogs including senior dogs since I can take them on my bicycle. We truly believe dogs are mans/womans best friends and look forward to giving your dogs a wonderful experience. My husband is also a medical massage therapist and is amazing at pet massages. Your dog will be loved and pampered by two fellow animal lovers.

We go for a walk in the park and play with the dog with frisbee or tennis balls.
We go to different parks to keep it interesting and fun for the dogs. I love to play with the dogs and take good care of them wherever we go. One thing is the dogs cannot be mean or aggressive to others dogs. Dogs that fight with other dogs we cannot take to the parks but I can still watch them as long as they behave around people.

I prefer leisurely walks, with two dogs maximum, if they are well behaved and are accustomed to walking on a leash. Will throw balls, etc, if dogs need a more vigorous exercise. I also enjoy hiking in the foothills, and along the river if that is more suitable to their exercise needs.

I am quite an active person. I have walked many dogs for many family members and friends. I can leisurely walk with one or more dogs no problem. I am young and strong and won’t let the dogs pull me or bully me around. I am physically able to walk multiple miles with dogs. I know that most dogs don’t need to walk this far but I point it out to showcase that however long you want your dog to walk for, I can handle it. Also I can run multiple miles with dog(s) in whatever terrain is necessary. I enjoy trial running in the foot hills and so we can go around the neighborhood or up to the foothills to walk or run.

That doesn’t mean the walk has to be intense for your dog. I can also provide a leisurely walk at the pace of the dog letting them smell all the flowers and bushes they want.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Albuquerque

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Albuquerque, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Albuquerque. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
