Hi! Depending on what your dog would enjoy, I am happy to tailor the walks. I usually visit local parks and hike on trails at a steady pace. We also frequently visit the dog park at Country Park, and the new dog park in Latham Park where dogs can run free and play. If your dog likes swimming, we have a great spot at the creek for that as well!

If your dog is a runner, then I am a runner too! If your dog just likes relaxed and leisurely walks then that's great too because I also enjoy relaxed and leisurely walks. Just let me know which type of walk your dog usually likes and I can accommodate to that.

I am able to walk 2 large dogs, or 3 small dogs simultaneously. I have previously owned two Siberian Huskies at the same time and could handle them without an issue. We would take an hour long walk daily from my home, around the surrounding neighborhoods and through a park. Once a week I would take them to the dog park and let them play under my supervision (however, if you're not comfortable with this, I understand and can keep them leashed at all times.)

I take dogs on solo, leisurely walks between 30 and 60 minutes long. I will bring your dog for some active play at a nearby park or transport your dog safely to and from a park or walking area in my reliable vehicle. I walk dogs outdoors in all weather conditions and always give dogs love and attention. I will ensure your dog is getting enough exercise and potty breaks and will be sure to remove pet waste. I will also ensure safety of the dog that I am walking and those (humans and dogs) around them.

I can accomodate walks to whatever your dog needs. I am comfortable walking multiple dogs at a time. For the older, less active dogs we can take short leisurely strolls. For the younger, more active pups longer, faster walks/runs are not a problem at all.

I am able to accommodate several different types of walks. Leisurely, solo and multiple dogs.

I have a lot of beautiful back roads with sidewalk and very light traffic that I would use to walk dogs. I also have a lightly wooded area around where I live that can be walked through if that is what the dog would like to do. Additionally I live near Guildford college which would be a great place to take dogs. Lots of soft grass and interesting smells. :D

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Greensboro

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Greensboro, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Greensboro. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
