I'm available for long, leisurely strolls or faster-paced jogs -- whichever your pup prefers! I'm able to take on multiple dogs at a time if necessary. My boxer/lab and lab/shepherd/border collie mixes are notorious "leash pullers", so I have plenty of experience and patience with those who are stubborn on the leash. I'm happy to stick to a walking route that you know your pup prefers, or, find a new one nearby!

Dog walking that suits your pup, whether he/she is a walker or a runner or prefers the side streets as opposed to the crowded side walk. When I first adopted Remington, he was afraid of pretty much everything. Going on walks was very scary for him and at times we had to mix up the routes to avoid any multiple cars passing or people on the sidewalks. I am very alert during dog walks and will certainly be aware of overwhelming situations for our sensitive pets. I am available for dog-walking services & home visits. I look forward to hearing from you!

We will make sure your dog has a nice, long walk. The full amount of time of the visit will be spent outside and active. If there are grassy or open areas on the path, we are happy to stop and play! We will walk only your dog, unless otherwise mentioned. We are happy to accommodate to any of your requests.

I am able to take your dog on a leisurely walk to make sure they take care of all their business and that they (as well as I) get some exercise and fresh air. If there is a route that you prefer they walk, I would be more than happy to take them on that same path. I prefer to walk one dog at a time. However, I can walk up to two dogs at a time.

The way I look at how a dog should be walked it totally dependent on that particular dog. I can take very energetic dogs on runs to tire them out and I can take older lazy dogs on a nice leisurely stroll through the park. whatever the circumstance may be I will format a walk perfect for your little fury friend.

I like to take dogs on walks to the park where there is room for them to be active and play fetch. I love to be outdoors so rest assured that your dog will get plenty of exercise. I work with both big and little dogs and I will do what is best for your dog(s) giving them my full attention.

Routine walks are taken on the bike trail right outside my apartment. Walks are a minimum of thirty minutes long with small walks in between. During some of the walks I will go at a run/walk/run pace. Also, I am more than willing to go to the local dog park (e.g. Frazier, etc.).

These walks can be active or leisurely, and I have experience with anywhere up to 3 dogs at one time. I can walk dogs together with other dogs or on their own, will be willing to do whatever the dog is normally used to. I will take direction from the owners to make the pups or pup feel as comfortable as possible!

I love to go on walks and can be flexible about how many dogs I take. I don't mind taking just one or taking multiple dogs. I always try to go on walks that involve sidewalks and I really enjoy exploring around parks. I always can be flexible on my speed depending on the dog; I'm happy jogging and doing a brisk walk or keeping it slow for older dogs. Basically I'm just happy to be with animals and outside!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Charlotte

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Charlotte, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Charlotte. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
