It would be my absolute pleasure to watch your pet while you're away at work, on vacation, or just out of the house for a bit. I find it extremely important that your pets continue to get the love and care that they deserve, even when you may be unable to provide it. Whatever your daily routine is with them. I will do. I find it very important to be able to provide as much normalcy to your pet as possible and make sure they feel as though nothing has changed while you're gone.
My specialties lie in long walks, games of fetch, extraordinary belly rubs and cuddles like you would not believe.
I have an enormous passion for animals of all kinds and hope to work for an animal organization in the future. Until then, I would love nothing more than to give your pet the love and attention they deserve while you are away.

I love walking back roads, trails. I usually walk 3 dogs at a time, depending on how they are with other dogs and walking on the leash. I take my time walking, I don't rush them. I let them enjoy the nature and being a dog. In the winter I walk up and down my apartment complex, so the dogs aren't out for to long. I don't want them sick.

I am a very Active person and love to be outdoors, especially joined by a furry friend. I can take dogs on leisurely or active outing, depending what your dog requires. I prefer to walk one dog so I can give my full attention so your dog can have a fun time.

Love to take animals on nature walks, on paths, by rivers or simply to the park. I always travel with doggie bowls, water, snacks and potty bags. Would love to throw the ball or frisbee, take a light jog or simply walk and watch fellow animals and animal lovers.

Leisure and relaxing walk :) if your dog prefers to be solo that is fine! If they area good walking with other dogs and are others in the neighborhood I can walk them together! I like to take dogs along their usual routes with their owners. If your dog is more the adventurous type we can go off-leash and/or back woods!

I LOVE going to the parks nearby, there's so many beautiful ones near my house, and they have amazing nature trails. Me and doggies almost always go for at least a mile, if not more. If it is recommended, I like taking the dogs to the dog parks and letting them run free there.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Ypsilanti

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Ypsilanti, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Ypsilanti. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
