About: I've lived with animals my whole life. Growing up, I lived with many cats, dogs, rabbits, and two amazon parrots. I have volunteered at shelters and worked at a pet grooming service in my teens. Currently, I live with four cats, one gecko, and many different pet insects and arachnids. At the moment, I'm sitting a dog and a four year old child for a neighbor every Monday, as well as semi-regularly watching a pair of senior dogs and four adult cats for a different couple. I would love an opportunity to care for peoples exotic pets because as someone with exotic pets of my own, I know it can be very difficult to find knowledgeable and trustworthy sitters to care for them if I'm gone. Of course, I'm also happy to meet and care for fuzzy friends too! If you have any questions, please just shoot me a message. When I'm not sitting I make my own hours for work, so my schedule is very flexible. This excludes Mondays when I sit for my neighbor. Because I already live with several pets, I usually care for pets in their owners' homes, but I do make exceptions for well-behaved pets that get along with cats. I have a large (unfenced) yard and a car fit for multiple dogs to get them there or to any destination if the situation calls for it. As a precaution, I will always require that the owner be present with me for the introduction, and I would ask that they allow me to accompany them on a short walk or be present during a feeding so that we can build trust before the owner leaves. Every pet has a different personality and set of needs and I pride myself on my ability to understand animal body language well enough to know what they need and want. Care and interaction vary case by case, but my main goal is to keep all the animals in my care safe and happy.

She would run outside, turn around, and wag her tail waiting for Carla to come play with her. Carla also let my chickens free range and watched them closely to ensure no predators were nearby and found a way to get them back in the coop before dark (which usually is quite the effort)! About: I have taken care of personal pets for over 20 years and have taken care of pets for neighbors, employers, and family members. I have a mini golden doodle of my own who loves all dogs and people. I do focus my attention on the pets I’m watching and my puppy gets to spend some quality time with his dada, so no need to worry. I want to share my love of animals with your pets! I am a full time paralegal and work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If there are any times that someone would not be home, I always make sure that this is ok with you beforehand. I do not crate anyone else’s pets unless specifically instructed to in their care info. I am right on the eastern trail and love taking long walks with pups out there. I love caring for pets in their own environment because it allows them to feel most at ease and makes for happy pet parents too. When pets come to my home, they are welcomed as part of the family and get the opportunity to play with our super friendly and loving mini golden doodle, Yogi.
