I am willing to pace myself to meet the needs of the dog I am walking. I am patient with dogs who might need to take it slow and willing to speed up to a jog if your dog is use to a fast paced active walk. Will take on as many as 2 large dogs at once and up to 4 smaller dogs.

these walks will be leisurely and/or active depending on what you prefer for your dog. I will take up to 2 dogs from the same owner at a time (other owners dogs will not be included in the walk). I usually run/walk myself once or twice a day either at a park or near my house.

I can walk or jog with your dog (just let me know if they like to run!). I typically leave my dog Max at home when walking a client's dog(s). If I have more than 1 client at a time, then I will walk them separately. If you have more than 1 dog, I can also walk them separately, if preferred.

All dogs I will walk will be accompanied by my dog and potentially others, so playtime will definitely be provided. Also, if you are a member of the Louisville Dog Park Association and your dog has a membership tag, I will take them to the closest dog park for some off-leash running around time whenever you ask.

My walks with my own dogs (we have three) are relatively leisurely with a little bit of running mixed into the route. I never walk all three at once (for simplicity's sake) and usually walk two of them together and the third one by him- or herself. I change which one gets walked alone every day to keep the routine fairly balanced.

Leisurely walks can be given for your sweet pups. I am available to walk dogs solo or up to 2 dogs at a time. I can take them to a park and walk them or walk them around your neighborhood area. Can also take dogs on active walks while jogging. I am always looking to get my fitbit steps in, so would love to add your dog to my walks.

I will walk to the dogs ability. I love to run but am also fine with walking at a leisure pace if that is what the dog prefers! I will happily walk in any weather condition and am prepared to "pick up" after the dog. I can walk up to four dogs at a time as long as they all get along.

I would prefer 1 dog at a time for walks, but can take 2 if they know each other (from the same home) and walk well together. I can walk leisurely, to allow dogs to sniff around, or active for more exercise. I usually incorporate a little of both. I do pick up doggie poo.

Generally, I enjoy walking in parks, specifically Iroquois park but have been to most parks in the city. I also enjoy walking around the neighborhood when I feel like my pups need familiar experiences. They'll see their doggie friends and neighbors that they already know. I have TONS of doggie toys including one billon balls! I like playing focusing games with my pups along with fetch and Frisbee. If there is a special activity that you do with your pup, I would be happy to do that as well!

Dependent on the situation. I can keep all types of different and necessary paces for the given circumstance. I cater to your animal's needs and desires. Speed it up, slow it down, the tempo is dictated by your furry friends. Solo, multiple, I can guarantee a job well done whatever the case.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Louisville

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Louisville, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Louisville. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
