My parents were avid pet lovers and my father a professional dog trainer so I am comfortable with most situations (not snakes). I do not have pets of my own (my dog died some time ago and I can not bring myself to get another) so enjoy being with other peoples pets. I believe a pet is happiest if their usual routine is kept so will walk/play according to your pets wishes (sorry, no running).
I live in Canton and work in Marietta so the distance I noted can be from either location.

I am happy to accommodate the pet owners request, we can take a long brisk walk on sidewalks, I'm happy to take dogs out on trails or play with them in your own backyard, playing fetch, tug-of-war whatever your pet prefers. I am also happy to attend two additional animals that may be in the home if you need a cat given water or a bunny rabbit etc. taken care of I am a full service fur mom for rent. Prices do very and are extremely negotiable. If you need me to go by every day and take your dog out for a walk for 10 minutes I can accommodate that or if you want me to go play for an hour we are happy to do that as well.

We will walk and play. I will be able to walk two or three dogs at a time. During walk we will do seating training if needed. No pulling training. Learning to walk on the right of a person. Learning not to bark to humans and to be friendly with other dos and people. Play with the ball.

I am energetic, fun loving, and outgoing with a passion for animals! I love to hike, jog, swim, play soccer, and fetch of course! I love the outdoors and the scenery. I have two dogs and two cats of my own, one is a German shepherd and the other is a lab border collie mix. We are one big happy family that enjoys family vacations, going to new places around our house, and meeting new people! I am only a sitter I do not board but I will always make sure your pet and your house are in perfect shape!

I will consult with each pet owner on what they would like done with their pets. Each dog and pack is different. I have years of experience walking packs as well as working with one dog on a proper walk. I can also work with your dog on leash manners for an extra fee.

We will walk the dogs in a familiar area example their own neighborhood, If there is a fenced yard available we can play fetch or swim in a personal pool. If you have a swimming pool and your dog is afraid to swim in it I am able to help you train your dog to be comfortable in a swimming pool. If the fur baby is comfortable with car rides then we may go to a dog park.

We are able to leisurely walk your dog through the neighborhood or go on a run. I prefer not to do over two dogs at a time on a walk.
If you have an outside fenced in area, we can let the dog out and play with them, throwing balls, frisbees running with the dog whatever you prefer to make the dog get some exercise and for potty breaks.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Canton

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Canton, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Canton. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
