I will come and pick up your dog, take them for a long walk. If they're accustom to dog parks, we will stop there so they can socialize with their friends. I will pay close attention to all the dogs interaction with your dog while we're at the park, always keeping a watchful eye to ensure no one misbehaves. I have a 3 year old PWD, I'm very comfortable with dogs. Your dog will be safe with me, I will treat him/her as if they were my own.

I will accommodate the dogs needs based on the pet owner's request. I'm flexible to giving dogs a leisurely stroll, or an active jog/run, either solo dogs or groups depending on location. In any case my goal is to make the dogs feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

In case of multiple dogs, I can either walk them separately or together.....depending on dog's needs/age/pace etc. If the distance to the dog park is walkable (where they can run and play unleashed and the owner agrees), I'm always happy to take the dog/dogs there so it/they can run, play and socialize freely.

All dogs, regardless of size or breed, need to be taken on daily walks, jogs, runs, bike rides, rollerblading, or any other means you have to get your dog moving.

During our walks/runs I always keep an eye on the dog behaviour. It is easy to prevent any unwanted movement as "eating garbage/poop/grass/bones/food" if you always keep an eye on them. That's what I do. I've learned how to read their body by watching every movement of their ears, tail, posture. Every little thing means something important and it tells you what's going to happen next.

As per of our walks, I can either take them on an adventure to a park or a walk on the beach (if your dog's personality is outgoing), or I can follow their normal rutine, which is what I reccomend if your dog suffer from separation anxiety or has some difficulties trusting a new dog walker.

Taking your dog for a walk is an important ritual in keeping your dog mentally stable. A dog, as an animal, is a walker/traveler by instinct. Packs of dogs get up in the morning and walk. Simply having a large backyard or taking your dog to the dog park is not going to satisfy this instinct in your dog. As Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer says, "To your dog, your backyard is like a large fish bowl in which they are trapped. Fish swim, birds fly and dogs walk. Having a dog should not be about only fulfilling our human needs, we owe it to our dogs, to give them what THEY instinctually need."

I will walk only your dog unless you have 2 then I will walk them together. If it is a 30-minute walk, it will be more of a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. If it is a 60-minute walk, depending on how close to a dog friendly park you live I can bring them there for a more active walk. It would be up to you and something we can discuss further.

I can really suit to your needs. My dogs and I walk all the time to the dog park, in our neighborhood, the beach, for leisure or exercise. I can walk multiple dogs at the same time or just one at a time, really whatever is best for you.
I regularly take my dogs to Haulover Beach on wed/sat/sun. I enjoy walking with the dogs and have a lot of experience with leash training dogs as well.

I walk the dogs in my care with love and attention. I will give them the walk they need or the walk their owners want for them. I am high energy and can run if the pet needs it. I am also attentive to the sun and will walk them in the shade when it is available and stop for water for long walks. I am happy to walk a dog alone or with others. They are safe with me.

I can walk up to 2 dogs with a leash. If there is a dog park nearby we can run and play freely. Depending on their age, I can increase their level of activity by trotting of running. In my opinion the length of a walks will be 30 min to 60 min and should be done at least twice a day, possibly in the morning, and again in the evening.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Miami Beach

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Miami Beach, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Miami Beach. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
