This depends on the dog's needs. I can also take the dog for a run with the bike if the dog has more energy. A slower paced walk for older dogs or faster if the dog has more energy. If you have more than one dog, I can walk them together or separately .

Walks would vary dependent on the type of dog. If the dog is active and playful the walk would be that way. If the dog is more laid back it would be a more relaxed walk. I have experience walking multiple dogs at a time and with dogs that are not leash trained and pull a lot. The type of walk varies based on the dogs personality.

Depending on the dog/dogs I can do multiple or single walks. Some dogs don't walk well with others. My 3 walk fine together so they all get their walks together. I also have experience with ferrets and sugar gliders as well as Prairie dogs. I have owned owed and loved 5 ferrets, 4 sugar gliders (not smart to get a male and female ??) and one Prairie dog. Unfortunately I am allergic to cats. I love frogs and lizards but I can't bring myself to feed a mouse or rat to a snake. I have no problem feeding and cleaning cages for "rodents" though.

My two fur-babies are complete opposites when it comes to walking preferences, therefore I can easily say I'm entirely comfortable with leisurely strolls around a neighborhood as well as active, energizing walks.

I only offer solo walks so that I can provide one-on-one care for your fur-baby and give them my full attention throughout my visit with them.

Well, let me tell you about my Sundee and then take it from there :). Sundee is 5 years old, loves to be outside and is very active on his walks. So every morning we do a 15 minute active walk with many few stops here and there and then he stops at one of his favorite spots for 10 minutes to watch the birds and the lake surrounding my apartment before heading back home.

So, this said, I will treat your dog as my Sundee and give him or her the outdoor experience he or she will like. Say a slow walk around their neighborhood or an active one. Take them to a nearby dog park, if that is an option for the owner, for them to play or enjoy the outside, and go potty. Anything that will make him or her a happy dog and just ready for a long nap while they await for their mom or dad to come home :).

I used to walk my neighbors dogs all the time through high school and college. I can walk Leisurely, also I like to run. So I can go on jogs as well! I used to be on a track and field team so I can run fast or exercise with the dog if you need me to.

I take my dog out for a fast walk several times a day. I also take her to the dog park once or twice a day, depending on the weather. In the afternoon she loves to play in the pool with my kids. She get a lot of exercise and you dog could benefit of all these activities.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Lutz

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Lutz, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Lutz. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
