Leisurely or brisk walks with one or two dogs while on a leash. Plenty of time to use the bathroom and get to enjoy being outside in the fresh air. 30 or 60 minute walks are available to you to provide care for your dog. Your pet deserves that time to have a break from being inside the home.

I would take them to the park where they can be active and play and interact with other dogs. if the dog can't be around other animals still take them to a park where they can be active as well but just by themselves. I would do multiple dogs only if they are good with other dogs but if the dog is unfriendly it would be a solo walk with just me and the dog.

I have owned seven dogs over the years. From a Doberman to a Pomeranian. I now am the proud owner of Schatzi, my Jack Russell Terrier. He is friendly with all other pets. He is active, loves to run, fetch, and gets
along well with all animals. I am a fun-
loving owner and I love my dog with all
my heart.

The first (and definitely last) time I
boarded my dog in a kennel for 8 days
was an awful experience for both of us.
I will NEVER do it again. They did not
give him his toys or his bedding and
sent me home with an unopened bag of
his favorite treats. He was drugged so
much that he could not lift his head for
days. This is the reason why I want
owners to have a safer and more caring
option. I will NOT sequester, cage, or
ignore your pups.

I use a safe top-of-the-line home
defense insect killer inside and outside
of the house before your babies arrive
and after they leave. It is important that
neither of us have problems in that
department.

I have a 2,500 square-foot home, which
I own, with a large, privately fenced-in
backyard with a deck. I work from home
so I am always here which makes me a
great candidate.

I'm in a central location nestled between Tampa and Orlando. I only watch one family's pups at a time so
that your babies will be the only one's
here.

Since I am a research fanatic, I pride
myself on learning the most about the
breed of your babies before you arrive.

Avoid bringing plush or squeaky toys.
Schatzi doesn't chew on anything in the
house, but he has a strange aversion
towards plush toys and tennis balls and
tends to destroy them in a matter of
minutes. If I buy a squeaky toy for him I
always remove the plastic squeaky part
for fear of him choking on it. My little
man uses Advantix flea prevention. He
also has Trifexus once a year. Please
try to use it (or a comparable product)
on your babies.

PLEASE NOTE: Drop off times should be no earlier than 8 a.m. And pickup times should be no later than 10 p.m.

Day, and New Year's Eve Day.***

It really depends on what you're dog is up for. Where I live there are lots of lakes and parks to walk around, some with lots of people and other dogs and lots of just open spaces. If your dog is more active and social we'll go to more crowed areas. If you're dog is more shy we can go to a secluded area for just one on one exercise.

I will provide walks suited for the individual dog. I am willing to walk multiple dogs or individual dogs. I will cater the walk to the dog's activity level and needs. I am not a runner but enjoy fast walks as well as leisurely walks. I am happy to bring the dog in my car to a dog park as well to be able to run around. I have a large car with plenty of space for a dog. I don't currently have my own dog and I am missing the companionship dearly.

I can walk dogs for however time is suitable for breed ( large dogs will need more walk time and smaller dogs shorter) and age. It also depends on how long the customer would like me to walk them. I can play fetch, pick up after them and give them treats when needed. Depending on how many dogs the customer has I can walk solo or multiple.

Leisurely dog walk, encouraging bowel and urine movement, sniffing at leisure, socializing with people we meet on the walk and carefully introducing the dog to other dogs as they are walking too. Socialization with other people and animals are done with respect to the willingness of the pet and careful attention will be given to the pet's reaction to each situation.
Usually the pet with be walked solo so as to be given the best attention. Other people and animals will be guided by me so as not to confuse the pet, but to given them a good experience with people and other animals. If the situation does not work out, then the pet's response is always respected.

Walks will be at a leisurely - brisk walking pace, depending on individual needs. I am not able to provide jogging or running for the dogs, however. Due to my size and back issues, they will be walked one at a time if they're large dogs, or two at a time if they're small-medium dogs.

We will take a leisurely walk wherever the client would want us to go. If there are any other specifications, I can change up the walking routine depending on the clients' tastes. If the client would like us to jog or run with the dog, or play fetch, we will be able to do that as well.

Multiple dogs, fairly active based on their activity level. We like to take them to a park or to a wilderness refuge. Always on leash and both my husband and I will walk them, they will be allowed to keep a leisurely or active pace depending on the dogs abilities, eg a senior dog will be allowed to move at their own pace whereas a puppy would be allowed to sniff and explore or fetch a ball if wanted.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Lakeland

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Lakeland, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Lakeland. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
