I am a middle age happily married woman who has always loved animals and pets my whole life. I work for myself as a cook/companion for a couple elderly people.
I also have been a caregiver of animals, mostly dogs in the last 20 years for family, friends and others that I have been introduced to. I have always found clients by word of mouth.
My wonderful husband Rob, works FT as a
landscape/lawn maintenance supervisor. He loves to come home and play with all the awesome puppies. (We call them puppies even if they are up in years and 110 lbs.) I have numerous pics of him sleeping with them on the couch. So much for "Not on the furniture." :)
My yard is fenced in and my pool is about 2 ft above ground. I have a screened in patio. My house is open for animals to stay inside with air conditioning.
A typical day with animals at my house is hugs, breakfast, potty, treats, a walk if required or run around in the yard and lay in the shade to watch the world go by. Come in with more hugs and water. Usually lay around and take a nap. Outside to go potty when they ask and more hugs. Chase the ball outside and play tug of war with lots of stuffed animals inside. We have a huge basket of toys. Dinner, treats, potty and more hugs. If the animals are potty trained and well behaved, I give them the freedom to not have to sleep in their crate but not on furniture and not on the bed. Some prefer to sleep in their crates but I leave the door open for them again if they are well behaved. Any activity outside pertains to dogs, not cats. They would stay inside the house or limit to the screened in patio.
