I am a middle age happily married woman who has always loved animals and pets my whole life. I work for myself as a cook/companion for a couple elderly people.
I also have been a caregiver of animals, mostly dogs in the last 20 years for family, friends and others that I have been introduced to. I have always found clients by word of mouth.
My wonderful husband Rob, works FT as a landscape/lawn maintenance supervisor. He loves to come home and play with all the awesome puppies. (We call them puppies even if they are up in years and 110 lbs.) I have numerous pics of him sleeping with them on the couch. So much for "Not on the furniture." :)
My yard is fenced in and my pool is about 2 ft above ground. I have a screened in patio. My house is open for animals to stay inside with air conditioning.
A typical day with animals at my house is hugs, breakfast, potty, treats, a walk if required or run around in the yard and lay in the shade to watch the world go by. Come in with more hugs and water. Usually lay around and take a nap. Outside to go potty when they ask and more hugs. Chase the ball outside and play tug of war with lots of stuffed animals inside. We have a huge basket of toys. Dinner, treats, potty and more hugs. If the animals are potty trained and well behaved, I give them the freedom to not have to sleep in their crate but not on furniture and not on the bed. Some prefer to sleep in their crates but I leave the door open for them again if they are well behaved. Any activity outside pertains to dogs, not cats. They would stay inside the house or limit to the screened in patio.

solo or 2 dogs. In case more dogs I will do separates walks according to their sizes. Will make sure they have clean bowls, food if time, fresh water, clean up after them. Will play with them or fetch balls outside in yard so they get exercise and fun time enjoying outdoors. Treats before I leave.

I normally walk leisurely but I am very active so if that's what you prefer I would definitely be able to accommodate your pup! We can go on fast-paced walks/jogs. I would be happy to play fetch with them as well. I can do one or two dogs at a time and would be happy to go for as long as you'd like me to. I always make sure to pick up and throw away poop! I thoroughly enjoy getting to meet and spend time with new animals so your pets and I would have a great time together!

Each dog is given individual attention. If dropping off at my home we have a lovely nature trail which the dogs adore. Also, I am available to take to local beach or park if authorized by owner. I adore all breeds and enjoy spending quality time with them. All dogs given much love and attention. I can only accept dogs that are house trained.

Flexible on walk style, depending on your dog(s)! I love being active in general, whether that means a run, a brisk walk, a slower stroll, a long distance, a short distance, or anything outside/in-between. Whichever level of activity is most suitable for the dog(s) - I'm up for it!

I started a petsitting business several years ago.....I take care of all sorts of animals! When you have to leave your pets...I pack my suitcase, move in and stay with them. If they sleep with you, they sleep with me. Not only do most pet owners find this preferable to boarding, my clients love having a house sitter also. The main reason I started this business was because I realized that most pets are much happier in their own home...sticking to their regular routine. I am licensed, insured and bonded. I have clients who call me months before their time away. .when they're planning a vacation and, I have clients who call me for a last minute getaway. A few of my clients just have me do "the dropin thing" 3 or 4 times daily...but, most prefer that I move in and stay. I am extremely lucky to be doing a job that I love so much....one where I always get unconditional love!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Jupiter

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Jupiter, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Jupiter. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
