I do a variety of different kinds of walks for your fur babies. If exercise is what they need, I love having a dog help me get my daily step count up! If socializing is what they like, I will let them sniff and sniff and check out every blade of grass.

I am willing to walk up to 2 dogs at a time, leisurely, and 1 dog at a time, actively. No more than 2 dogs at a time. I will walk them around your neighborhood or if you are close to a park area where dogs are allowed I will walk them there as well. Where/when I walk your dog(s) is totally up to you!

I like to briskly walk pups to make sure they take great advantage of the exercise. I prefer to walk one pup at a time unless they're known to walk well together. I feel comfortable leash training puppies. I would like to run with bigger dogs to get their energy out as best as possible, will take advice/guidance from owner to ensure consistency.

I would bring my two dogs as well. Beagle and a German Shep/Corgi mix. My beagle is about 30 pounds. My mix is about 41 pounds. We could do leisurely, active, run, dog park, anything they would like! =) Anything the dogs like or are used to, we can do.

For dog walks, drop-ins and training, you get Dog GPS tracking, photos and a description of the time we had!

When I walk dogs I walk them individually (unless otherwise requested via a dog date) take different routes, bring their treats, my collapsible dog bowls and bottled water to pour into the dog bowls.

One of my favorite things to do with my own doggie, Stitch, is to take him to our built-in dog park overlooking Tampa Bay at Solaris Key. When walking your dog(s) on your turf, you can expect royalty treatment! I ask what side you walk your dog(s) on to reinforce your training, keep them out of harm's way by walking them on the inside away from the street AND you will get a Dog GPS update after your walk! It will include a photo, description, mileage we walked, and how many times they went to the bathroom, in the exact location where they pottied!

Let's get our RUFF on!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Clearwater

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Clearwater, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Clearwater. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
