A task such as dog walking may sound mindless to some but for me, walks serve several purposes. These include bathroom requirements, exercise, as well as a time to bond. I am able to walk up to two dogs at a time or possibly three depending on their sizes. My walks will mainly be leisurely to allow the dogs to get out and enjoy the outdoors with the occasional active walk to keep the dog heart healthy. These walks don't only benefit the dog, they also keep my heart happy and healthy as well.

Depends on dogs needs and owner's requests. I can do any type of walk from active to leisurely, multiple dogs, solo walks, long or short. Owner usually tells me what dog is used to and we go from there. My aim is to please. I am very flexible. I also like to know route dog is accustomed to.

Walks or trips to the dog park are available! Dog Park trips are to Lake Ida, if your dog is dog-friendly of course. If not, private walks are an option as well. My dog and I are very active, loving to run and play. I have cared for senior dogs in the past, so I am used to a laid-back, casual walk as well.

I'm an active outdoor person, I can walk two dogs at the time (up 70lb if they don't have a history of aggression towards others dogs).

My walks tend to be at a fairly quick pace but I still allow the dogs to enjoy the trip by smelling and exploring there surroundings .

Of course, I clean up any doggie business that happens along the way.

Solo walking where your dog (or dogs) is/are the focus of my attention! I usually default to a leisurely pace, but some dogs like to move faster, and that's alright with me! When we discuss my walking your dog, we'll figure out what would be best for them, since that's really what matters~

I walk one dog at a time- I have a lovely lake with a half-mile walk around in my neighborhood- I like to do an active walk with the dog, while letting them stop to meet other dogs and to investigate the surroundings. At the dog's home, I always do at least a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood, I also like going to the large dog park near me and to let the dog run and play

My neighborhood is very dog-friendly with sidewalks on both sides of the street. We also have lots of communal grassy areas that make for good sniffing. In fact one area right behind my house is park-like with rows of big shade trees for cooler walks on hot days. Our walks are generally leisurely with time spent stopping to take in the smells that breezes bring or standing still and alert to catch a glimpse of a squirrel or a bird. Some pups like to pick up the pace and give me a good workout which is an added benefit. I generally walk one dog at a time unless we are going out together for a quick pee break. I cautiously leash and unleash the dogs inside the house before opening any doors to prevent an escape artist from slipping out. All in all we have a fun time exploring the sights and scents of the neighborhood.

We always walk 3 times a day, but because mine are a little on the chubby side we are walking if the weather is nice even 6 times with long and short walks. We have toys so we play fetch, belly rubs or just chill in the sofa for nap time. If I have more than 3 doggies we walk 2 at a time so they are always safe.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Boynton Beach

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Boynton Beach, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Boynton Beach. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
