I can tailor the walk to your dog. I have an active dog loving 9 month old puppy that can accompany your dog on walks if he/she likes other dogs OR I can walk your dog solo. I love to walk long nature trails with my own pup and hike and work up a little sweat, but I can also do leisurely walks- all depends on your dogs preferences.

My walks are somewhere between leisurely and active. At five feet tall, I don't have a long stride, but it's faster than a casual stroll. I'm comfortable handling multiple dogs and have a lot of experience with dogs who pull. Each walk would be catered to each dog. The only service I don't provide is running with dogs.

I enjoy and prefer to take dogs on leisurely and focused walks, rather than active ones (asthma often prevents me from jogging or running with a dog). I believe proper leash training is very important, and so I like to keep pooches focused and in a "heel" position.

Currently, I am only comfortable walking with two medium/large dogs a time, or up to 4 small dogs at a time.

In addition to walks, I am more than happy to walk or drive your pooch to your local dog park for some fetch, agility training, or just a chance to goof off with some furry friends.

I could do leisurely walks or long runs, in any type of weather. I'm very active, so whatever pleases the pup, pleases me! My parents have two 50+ lb dogs, and I've had success walking them together, so I would say two big dogs would be my limit., but for little dogs I could probably do 3-4.

The dogs I have walked usually prefer leisurely walks with lots of stops along the way for sniffing and bathroom breaks. I am also willing to accommodate dogs that prefer more active or playful walks. It all depends on the dog. I have never walked multiple dogs at the same time, but I am more than willing to do so.

Typically do leisurely walks with one or two dogs at a time (depending on leash behavior). I try to restrict more active walks to parks or other pet-friendly areas to avoid incidents, so if one is near the area, I would gladly engage in more active walks should they be desired, and if the dog is up to it.

Hello and welcome!

I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years now. Owning dogs for most of my life since I was a child. Having grown a love for wolves and other wild canines, I developed the love for dogs, always wanting them to be a part of my life.
I provide 3-4 daily long walks for my current fur baby, Mika, a 7 year old Siberian Husky which was recently adopted from an unfortunate situation.
Then my two feline friends named Shiro and Harper which reside with me in my new home.

Because of my two feline children, I do not board within my own home. But I am more then happy to do overnight stays within the owner's home for as long as needed. As well as multiple visits per day as another alternative. I know how uncomfortable and uneasy it can be to have to leave behind your four legged loved one. Rest assured you can count on my services for your long term travels.

You can also ask about my new bathing service. I am more then happy to make your dog feel and look great for an affordable cost. Please make sure though that you provide the necessary shampoos and conditioners for your pup, in case they have an specific needs in mind. I do a complete brush down and an ear cleaning as well included in the bathing.

I have been a volunteer for local animal shelters and obedience train my own dogs.

Along with volunteering at shelters, I have had experience handling wolves and wolf hybrids in a educational center in North Carolina for a few weeks,
so there is no fear in walking any large breed dogs out there.

You need not worry for your furry child's well being if you decide that I'm the right fit; I provide loads of love and attention, and maybe even some treats to sweeten the deal!

All services will be handled either by myself or my partner-in-petcare and in life, Steven, although we are usually working together!

If I walk any dog at my house there is a path by the park by my house that is one mile so the owners can tell me how many miles they'd like their dog to be walked. I don't like to walk more than two dogs at a time and will walk their dog however long they'd like.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Wilmington

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Wilmington, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Wilmington. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
