Walks will be tailored to your request! I work full time in Arlington and would love to walk your dog on my lunch break if you live within walking distance of the Courthouse/Clarendon/Rosslyn area. Walks can be up to 45 mins long (to allot time for me to sadly get back to the office).

I am a runner and I am happy to take dogs on runs if they would like. I also love to hike and am always looking for a hiking buddy.
I have also cared for elderly and injured dogs that prefer a more leisurely pace and/or multiple shorter walks and I am happy to provide that as well. I have walked up to 3 dogs at a time.
I'm also happy to have a a dog park adventure.
My current roommate has a
dog and when he travels I take her on two 45 minute walks per day. She is a rescue and leash aggressive so I am accustomed to this behavior.

I strictly do solo dogs I do not walk multiple dogs at a time, unless they are brother/sister. I walk the dogs around the neighborhood for either 30 or 60 mins, depending on what the service is.
If the owner wants me to take them to the dog park for some social activity for 30 or 60 mins, that is perfectly fine.

Hi there, I am looking forward to walking your dog. Whether your dog is more interested in slow walks just to get some air or wants to run and have some fun while being outside - I´m all up for it. I like to concentrate on one dog at a time but if you're having two dogs and they both like to be outside and get along that is fine too.

It depends what kind of dog is it they all process energy in a different way. If dog is in a good shape I would prefer taking them to the park, I am also a runner if the dog enjoys to go for a run that would be awesome too ?????????
I am comfortable to take care not more than 2 dogs ?? I prefer to do it right and be able to meet the requirements for my services I don't think more than 2 dogs
would be able to get the care and the love they deserve just from me ??

Your dog would be taken on a fast paced fun walk! If you have obedience rules just let me know and I will follow them! I will send you an update after the walk to let you know all the activities that occurred. I have a lot of experience walking dogs within the city and would love to explore your puppies area with them!

I am happy to do leisurely walks around the neighborhood, or go to a park and play fetch. I will also jog/run and do a more active outing with the dog(s), if the owner wants. I'm used to walking my family's two 70 lb labs at once, so can definitely walk multiple dogs!

Top tips for getting started with
a dog walker in Washington
Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Washington, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Washington. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
