We are active and experienced dog walkers and would love to have your dog join us on our daily dog walks. Rain or shine we are at your service! Our attentiveness and love for your dog is extremely important for providing safe walks and we are always prepared with essential needs for your dog(s) walk. When your dog is walking with us they can expect to get showered with love and affection and an occasional treat approved by you. As dog loving professionals, we serve the special needs of each individual dog and we schedule no more than three or four dogs on any outdoor walk. If you prefer, or if your dog can't walk with other dogs, that's okay; we also provide private walks. We also offer a "beach play day” twice a week where we do a doggie field trip to Bonita Spring Dog Park. Whichever service you sign up for — our goal is simple: to provide fresh air, exercise and lots of love to your doggie!

I can take multiple dogs on a walk at the same time, my main concern would be if your dog bites, if your dog is afraid of other dogs or is aggressive with other dogs. If you have treats when you walk your dog, I can do that as well...I generally will do whatever walk you desire or will take your dog on a new walk, if you are welcomed to it.

I like going for walks with dogs on hiking trails that are safe. My concern is always safety first. I'm not a big fan of dog parks because it's hard to control other people's dogs. So usually don't go there unless the owner has a dog park that they like to bring their dog to and they're comfortable with and I would I would be fine with that .
I would be comfortable taking a few dogs at once if they belong to the same person and the dogs knew each other. I'm not really comfortable taking more than two. I believe in safety first. I could however take more than two dogs if I had some notice and I brought along my boyfriend said with him along the hike we could take more.
Depending on the dog I would decide on the type a walk we should take. An active dog could go on a more strenuous hike. Mid aged to elderly dog I would take to the Calabasas park near me or a nice shaded park near The owner's house. I don't want to walk on superhigh hot days, another place that I like to take dogs is near me that Topanga Mall inside. This is a good activity and very hot days in the summer. I like to pick less populated areas for dog walks or hikes. This is because I just want to make sure that my clients dogs are always safe. Sometimes places like Runyon Canyon and other spots that have a lot of animals can be a little dangerous especially to little dogs
Depending on how long the client books me maybe a leisurely walk around their neighborhood and the temperature is right is enough for their pet. This would just depend on what arrangement the client and I come up with what they would like for their pet.

I like to adhere to individual dog needs. Whether they like and active walks to complement their energetic behavior, or they need just a stroll around outside- I'm happy just to keep them company! I also keep a very close eye on on their tolerance for heat and need for water- especially in this Californian sun!

We live in a quiet residential area wherein walks along the streets are long and easy! I'm comfortable walking 1-4 dogs together pending their comfort with each other, I always have a leash on any and all dogs going on walks with me and always maintain vigilance on the environment around me. As such, I would keep moving on a walk instead of stopping and chatting with others. I find carrying doggie treats on my person helps to distract any other incoming dogs and rewards good behavior with my dogs otherwise. Each dog gets lots of attention, love, and play time!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Los Angeles

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Los Angeles, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Los Angeles. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
