I will take them for fun and pleasant walks, while also making sure to jog around so they get all of their energy out. I will provide bags in order to clean up their potty breaks and treats (if the owner allows) to give to them so they get rewarded for good behavior. I will make sure they have unforgettable times and treat them with lots of love just as I would with my pets. I will be extremely responsible in taking care of the dogs as well as keeping them on their best behavior possible.

My walks will be dependent on the dog that I am walking. My walks tend to be leisure, allowing the dog(s) to enjoy themselves and walk to have fun. I can also walk multiple dogs or walk a dog alone.

The walks will take place in the dog's neighborhood unless discussed with the owners.

Active or leisurely depending on your dogs preference. Dogs love to sniff and smell all the pee-mail. Letting dogs enjoy their walk whether they want to go fast or slow. A walk is all for their enrichment so lets the dogs have a good time on their walk.

For clients that book a walk with us we will accommodate 1 dog per human and will stroll through the green belt near our house and through the park. The green belt has lots of grass to sink their feet into and is mostly shaded. Since we ordinarily have 3 humans to walk dogs, we can walk up to 3 dogs at a time. :)

We can walk all the dogs in you're household either together or separately. But payment is per walk. We can go for a stroll through the neighborhood or do a brisk walk uphill. We can do jogs or walks as well or hikes. We are flexible as to what you want you're furry pets to do. You tell us and we will do it. Prices do change regarding what kind of walk you want and for how long. We are also flexible on the times you want it all done. If you're staying for boarding at our house we include a 1-3 walks a day while they are at our house.

I always follow the owner's instructions on how they want me to walk their pets and such. Like for an example, if he/she wants me to walk their two dogs on a separate walk then I will do it.

I can walk multiple dogs at the same time. I have been told that I have a good control.

Again, I just do what the owner tells me what to do or how to do it. :)

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Simi Valley

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Simi Valley, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Simi Valley. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
