Walks with the dog(s) can be either 30 or 60 minutes long. The walks are leisurely or active, depending on your preference. If permitted, I can or will take your dog to a dog park, as well. An additional $10 applies for a second dog (by the same owner).

I am a very active individual and I would take the animals on long walks (with provided water in my pack) and would also take them to dog parks and hikes if the owner allowed it. I've taken three dogs on a walk at a time (depends on size). I enjoy being around dogs and taking care of them, and have a great time making sure they have some activity when I'm in charge of them.

Dending on the dog and the day, the walks could vary from a nice hike, a leisurely stroll, maybe a light run, or just a walk to the park with some fetch. I'm happy to do a solo walk or have multiple dogs at a time
For larger dogs the walks could consist of a nice hike up the mountain or on a trail, light jog on trails in the area. For some social interaction they could be taken to the dog park.
For smaller dogs the walks could consist of a stroll around the residential area, nice walk on a trail and also could be taken to the dog park.

Hi, I'm Sharon! I live in a spacious house in San Ramon that is also occupied by my husband Edan, our two sons Yuval and Yaniv, and lastly our wonderful Labrador Retriever Sophie. We had another great Lab named Pepper who recently passed, but we're so grateful for the eight years we spent with her!

We have a BIG yard for your dog to play in, complete with a trampoline and patio area. Your dog will have access to the rest of our house too, and we're not ashamed to say that the pups run this home! We have plush dog beds scattered throughout the house, we have multiple rooms that your pup can drop in on, and whenever he wants to play, he has a whole family of four to keep him company!

Leave your furry family member with us and they'll feel right at home. They'll be loved and cared for with plenty of attention. You'll get daily photo updates from us, plus highlights of the day. We will facilitate any dietary requirements and are comfortable with serving oral medication.

If you leave a 2nd dog with us, we will give you a $10 discount for the 2nd dog's stay!

Additional charges:
For holidays, there is a $5 charge per day/per dog
(for the whole stay that include that holiday: Thanksgiving Christmas, New Year, Memorial Day weekend & Labor Day Weekend),
$10 extra per day for puppies under 1.5 years old.
We have different rates for pick-up time: (per dog)
by 11am - no charge
11-2pm - $20
2-5pm - $30
Any time after 5pm - $40

I am an active walker. I enjoy taking my two girls on walks through the San Ramon iron horse trails or up and down nearby neighborhoods. I have experience walking 4 dogs at once. I also enjoy socializing my girls at the local dog parks. With my clients and with my own pets, I believe in daily outings whether it includes a car ride, a walk, visit to the dog park or lounging and enjoying the outdoors. One of my favorite things to do include playing with my canine clients whom love fog toys. You can often see me running around at the dog park paying chase and tug o war.

I enjoy spending quality time with a pet and giving them the love and attention they deserve. When I go out for a walk I enjoy leisure walks with dogs and also jogging with dogs. I also enjoy playing with dogs at a park, or taking them to a dog park to play, or playing with them at my apartment. Dogs and cats are always drawn to me because of my gentle and loving personality. Even if a pet wants to just relax and cuddle, I am more than happy to do that as well. I wouldnt mind watching more than one pet but I would prefer to have one that I could focus my attention on. Animals are a joy to my heart and it's always a pleasure to care for a pet.

Sometimes dogs get bored if you're gone all day and all they need is some fresh air. We can help you with that! We will come to your home and take your canine companion for 30 minute walks, normally long enough to keep your furbaby happy! We also provide dog running and dog hiking for more active pups.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in San Ramon

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in San Ramon, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in San Ramon. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
