All dog walks will be a 30 minute walk from the time I leave you're home with leashed pets till I return back. Each walk will be a private walk. I do not to group walks with other clients dogs. The only multiple dog walks will be if the client owns more then one dog. Most walks are done st a leisurely pace though if requested a power walk to get the most energy out will be done!

Dillon and I love to take the larger dogs we walk on long trail hikes with sections where we run to get their energy up! For our smaller, older, or less active dogs we typically take them on slow-paced leisurely walks around their neighborhood or in our own lovely neighborhood. We generally walk dogs alone or in pairs; we don't like to walk multiple dogs together unless those dogs know each other and get along.

I am currently seeking a career in the Environmental Science field but in the meantime looking for some part-time work. I personally have adopted a black Labrador and we have been best friends for the past 4 years. The past year I have been pursuing a professional golf career, and this time of year is relatively slow. Walks will be solo, just me and your pups! For 30 minute walks, I keep to the neighborhood you live in. Walks can be leisurely or fast paced depending on your dogs ability. 60 minute walks are the same, but I am willing to take a dog on a hike or to a park for the longer duration!

I make sure to tailor my walks based on each pooch's needs, personality and lifestyle. I'm more than happy to stroll at a leisure pace for those beauties who want to just feel some bright sunshine on their face or go for longer treks for those beauties who are definitely more active.

I'm a runner, so I can do anything from leisurely walks to 10 mile runs at an 8:00 minute mile pace. Multiple dogs mean multiple love! It just depends on what the pooch (or pooches) wants and needs. I know all about loving dogs with social issues, so I'm very aware of on-leash vs. off-leash behaviors.

My walks are catered to the dog I am caring for. I enjoy running so I can keep a fast pace for high energy dogs who love to run. It is vital to take the weather into account and will be careful if it is hot out. I know a lot of dogs have a tendency to overdo it when they run, so I have a discussion with each pet owner about exactly how they want their dog walked. I can walk up to two dogs at once.

There are some options based on the dogs size and desires. I go to Runyon canyon often and Dockweiler beach. These are doggys favorite places to visit. My dog is as human as they get and it a great cimpanion for other dogs to meet. If it is a soI love animals and they seem to love hanging out with me as well

I enjoy leisurely to quick paced walks.
I prefer walking along a dirt and wooded park path.
I also enjoy trying different routes so the dogs can check out new smells and explore a different area verses the same route every time.
I would walk one dog at a time, unless multiple dogs from same home or dogs know each other and walk well with each other already.
I am willing to take dogs to Dog parks.
I enjoy playing ball/fetch if secure area is available.

For cats, I enjoy playing with them as well. I have had cats enjoy fetching, following a laser light, squeaky toys, being brushed, and given lots of attention, etc.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Pasadena

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Pasadena, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Pasadena. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
