I walk each client's dogs only (they will not be with other dogs in other words.) A moderate (fast walking) pace, unless the dog is elderly/recovering or loves to smell which is fine. I am happy to work with each dog's pace; I do not offer running service for very high energy dogs.

walking two or more dogs at once is fun but I prefer solo dog for now. I love to take them to the dog park and go for a walk during off-peak hours. I do not allow your dog to walk in front of me. And engage in friendly play to make them comfortable, play and exercise. I make sure that they do not endanger any other animal or human.

From quick walks around the block to full hikes, I will gladly tailor the walk to your needs. I can easily walk multiple dogs and have experience with all personalities and walking characteristics, including pulling. Walking is important for their health! It helps with digestion, restlessness and anxiety while your away!

**About me**
Our family has 5 years of experience pet sitting and consistently fostering dogs from local rescues. We understand the stress us humans feel leaving our furry friends.

Our home is a social environment for animals who have and haven't found their furr-ever homes.

We have a three bedroom home with a large grass yard. Our yard is 75ft x 35ft with a completely secure 6ft fence. All dogs are separated by dog gates or kennels during feeding time. We never leave our home for more than 4 hours at a time.
Our priority is to ensure that any animal in our home feels secure. Fostering has given us experience with behavioral issues, so don't hesitate to contact if your pet has deterred others.

I am currently going to CSUSB to work towards being an Applied Animal Behaviorist through the Animal Behavior Society.

Walking 1 or 2 dogs (larger) is my favorite. I love one on one time with them??Depending on the personality of the dog, their age and abilities, I love an active walk. I'm very active myself! A sweet, patient, leisurely is very rewarding too! The customer knows what their puppy wants and needs!

Leisure walks with tummy rubs and lots of rolling around in the grass (for the dogs, well I might join them a few times but that is our secret, lol). I take no more than two dogs at a time on walks, that way we can go at a slow pace and they can sniff to their hearts delight, more one on one attention too for them. I bring treats and a frisbee or toys also for playing.

I enjoy taking dogs on a beautiful brisk walk in the desert region, and running if they are into it. I can bring up to two dogs tops. I will make sure they are always hydrated! They will always be on a leash. I will do my best to take the most possible care for them while on a walk together.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Palm Desert

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Palm Desert, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Palm Desert. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
