I love taking dogs out for some exercise! I fully understand that every dog is different, based on their age, health, and fitness levels. Whether you have a young, active dog who needs a 2 mile run, or an older dog who needs a slow stroll through the neighborhood, I can do it! Multiple dogs need a walk? No problem

I offer both solo and multiple dog walks. Each walk is different depending on yours and your dog's preference. I can do dog runs, a regular stroll through the neighborhood or slow and steady for senior dogs. I'm always aware of my surroundings and will make sure your dog is safe. I'm certified in Pet First Aid and CPR and I'm also bonded and insured. You will always get pictures, videos and a map of our route to reassure your fur baby is having a great time. I also have a GPS option available. Please feel free to check out my Instagram @furbabiesoc

I have worked with a few families that have medium to large dogs with great success. I like to meet or talk to the family ahead of time to get to know the families expectations and their animals personality, so I be an asset to all families I work with. I can be as active as the animal allows. I'm the type of person that puts the animals needs first. I love to play and walk but also allow the animal down time which is just as important.

I can walk up to 3 dogs at the same time. I like to take leisurely walks and allow the dogs to explore their surroundings while securing their leashes.

I'll also take the owners suggestion on what areas or objects to avoid while on the street.

Walks are typically solo walks, giving dogs a chance to explore, socialize and stretch their legs. Walks can be rigorous, and active (I'm happy to take them for a jog upon request) for dogs that need to burn some energy, or nice and leisurely for slower/older pups.

I'll take your dog on a leisurely walk to give them some exercise, a bit of fresh air, and ample time to go to the bathroom. If your dog receives a treat after his walk, I'd be happy to provide him one along with some fresh water and lots of petting. I'll walk your dog individually, or if you're dog would like a buddy, my dog Milton would love to join. We'll walk for about 20 minutes and then have 10 minutes of settling back in.

My husband and I enjoy walks, hikes, and runs in the outdoors. We can do visits to the dog park, dog beach, or just a stroll around the block. We can take leisurely walks, strenuous walks, solo walks, or pack walks - depending on your dogs needs and your preferences!

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Newport Beach

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Newport Beach, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Newport Beach. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
