Walking one dog only at a time. I would love to walk your dog within his/her familiar zone around your home or take him/her on a little advendure to a park, dog park, or anywhere of your choice. My dog walking style is usually laid back, but if you prefer a dynamic walk for your dog, let me know, and I will change to sports wear : )

I usually walk dogs at a leisurely pace, but can pick up the pace if needed. I prefer to walk the maximum of two dogs so I can take better care of them. I have walked a dog every day at Fryman Canyon. The smallest dog I've walked is about 20 lbs. The largest is about 60 lbs.

My name is Michelle living in Sherman Oaks. I am recently retired and a dog lover.

I always have dogs in my life and recently I have 2, Pumpkin - Toy Poodle. She is my senior sweetheart baby - 16 1/2 years old and JJ - Mixed breed. He got lost in our neighborhood and I adopted him after we could not find his owner. I took him the vet and had him fixed and put a microchip on him. He is such a precious sweet boy and about 6 1/2 years old. Both of them are very submissive and friendly. They are joys of my life since I am childless.

I live in a nice area of Sherman Oaks and walk my dogs twice a day by the LA river bike path recently renovated and opened in front of my house or walk them couple blocks down from my house. We live in a friendly dog lover neighborhood so we meet and let them play together. My dogs sleep on my bed or on their own beds, wherever they like and whenever they want (they have 4 dog beds!!). I have a big yard they can roam around if we can't take a walk due to a bad weather. My dogs have freedom in the house....I have 2-bedrooms and a big sunroom...

Dogs know who loves them and they know I do !! I am petite but have a big heart for dogs so I would like to take care a small breed !! :o)

Have a wonderful day.

***Overnight Stay is 24 hour period after the drop off. A Day Care Charge will be applied after***

I prefer to take on one clients pet. I find it doesn't work out if you are walking multiple clients dogs. For example, if one dog has an intense prey drive and knocks you down, then 5 dogs are now loose. I prefer to give the animal enough exercise so it's tired out for the owner, so they can come home and relax. I wouldn't mind taking a dog for a run, but would charge a little more. I like to maintain discipline, because some breeds can be more difficult than others. I do this by keeping the dog walking right by my side. This ties back into safety as well. Every dog has a different energy level & temperament. I do not mind working with an animal that has behavioral issues.

I most often will take a dog, or several, on an active walk exploring neighborhoods, parks, and general scenery. If a 4-legged is in the mood to meander or is incapable of walking at my normal pace then we slow down and enjoy the sites together. Exercise and fun are important and best when experienced simultaneously! We'll talk to other dogs we meet, exchange doggy phone numbers, sing Ariana Grande's "Into You" together, and race from one side of the park to the other - I'm pretty fast.

I will walk your dog(s) actively and leisurely. If needed, I can also walk dogs one at a time to give individual attention. I'll provide all necessary accommodations your dog needs while they're in my care. I'm very active so if your dog enjoys running (on leash during walks/off leash for active yard play-in a fenced yard), I'm a great fit for your dog(s).

-•-I will comply to ANY rules and/or restrictions you have for your pets.

Depending on the request of the Guest, I can offer leisurely or active walks, as well as group or solo, whichever they prefer. I regularly run and hike with with my own dog so I am definitely capable of keeping up with more rigorous dogs, and have owned dogs my whole life, often taking groups of 3-5 out for walks at the same time. I enjoy finding new trails and paths to keep the dogs entertained, and LA has no shortage of that.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Los Angeles

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Los Angeles, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Los Angeles. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
