In the past; I worked for the neighborhood families. I would take dogs to the park, or on a nice 2 mile walk- depending on ability; sometimes take on runs. Im great with leash training, and having dogs learn obedience. I can walk multiple dogs at once without having dogs overpower me. If some dogs are more aggressive than others; I would walk them separately. Im willing to drive to and from your house; I have reliable transportation. Ready to start asap!

I can walk up to two dogs. I can take your dog for as far as you want me to go, please let me know if there is a certain path you take or place you like to go. I can walk leisurely with your dog or I can jog with it if it wants to. I will be cautious with other people and I will tell them that they cannot pet the dog you do not want people petting it. I will make sure that the dog is hydrated before the walk and after. I will also make sure that I bring a bag to pick up after the dog. If you usually take treats out when you walk your pet I can take them too. I am going to be responsible when walking while the dog is getting the necessary exercise needed.

Walks will depend on the dogs activity level. Up to 2 dogs maximum at a time. My little chihuahua can't handle long walks or running, because he's so small and he gets tired quickly. My dads little bulldog is the same because of her breathing problems. However, growing up with a labrador and a boxer, I used to take them for long runs to tire them out. I'm happy to walk, run, or jog, depending on each dogs needs. Walks can include play time at a local park or just a simple bathroom stop around the block depending on their needs.

Walks will depend on the animal. If your animal would like to be alone great, if your animal would like friends to come a long even better. More active doge might want to run. I need a running buddy. All animals are different that is what makes them so amazingly special.

Walks are for your dog to explore a new neighborhood! We'll start slowly, then walk at a steady pace for the active dogs. We'll walk until all business is taken care of. Your dog will be on leash at all times and let me know if they are allowed to socialize. If so, we can go to the dog park.

As a certified pet walker I know how to work with dogs of all ages, and can gauge activity levels to meet your pet's needs.
Walking has always been such a joy to me and walking with friends is every better. We can walk along the waves breaking on the beach or run through the sand; we can play fetch or walk through the grass at the local park; or we can have a lovely stroll through your neighborhood to socialize with their friends. Does your dog need one long walk or 2-3 shorter walks. I offer 30-60 minute walks for any activity level. Walk can be in the mornings afternoons and evenings. Weather permitting,

Do or Cat Walks.
Please note: Please have leash an or Harness for pet.
If you DO NOT have either I have some I can bring.
It is best to walk Dogs/ Cats with a Harness. I feel most comfortable with this type.
I DO NOT believe in Bully collars. They can hurt the Animal, and since I adore all little ones I will not partake in this type of behavior.

Walks:
Sidewalk
Beach / Beach Path, Rosies Beach, HB Dog park
Park walk
For Cats:
I have a pet-buggy I can take cat out in, or on a harness around the neighborhood or Supervise in your backyard

All walks are based on 30 min to 1 hr and this does not incl Travel time.

I usually do group walks with 4 + dogs sometimes more. And we usually walk at lease 2k, for dogs that can handle it. We walk through the area of downtown long beach pictures are included. I get great shots down at the light house! Medium paced with an assortment of dog sizes. I can definitely socialize you furry friend.

Walks are catered to the needs of each dog. I can take leisurely walks with low energy or elderly doggies and I'm happy to get my exercise in with dogs who enjoy a good run! Currently, I prefer to not only walk but also board one dog at a time so that I can give my full attention to each other (exception for siblings who prefer walks together!).

I can walk solo or multiple dogs at the same time. The activity level depends on each dog's needs. Some dogs like to play and run and I like to run with them. Some older dogs simply like to walk. I like to accommodate to each dog'style. There are some dogs that are impulsive even when they are on a lwash, I have no problem handling them.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Long Beach

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Long Beach, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Long Beach. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
