At the most, I can walk 2 dogs at once, but if they're leash pullers, I prefer walking one at a time. My boxer use to pull on the leash when we walked and after some time, he hasn't pulled since. When I walk dogs, I make sure the dog's mind is focused on the walk and nothing else. If the dog is distracted by things when on the walk, they won't lose as much energy. I make sure that the pets will get their workout in every walk.

I'm interested and able to participate in a wide variety of walking styles. For active dogs, I'm able to walk hike trails or jog if recommended by the owner. If you live near a body of water, dog beaches are also fun. I'm young and strong so multiple dogs will not be a problem (unless they're massive with leash pulling issues). Solo dogs are also great if the owner prefers me to remain one-on-one : )

I will only solo walk dogs until I have more training and experience with multiple dogs. I can leisurely walk them in neighborhoods, light public walking trails, beach areas, or scenic areas depending on customers preference and dogs abilities. If the dog needs a more energetic and active run I can also keep up with a light running and jogging speed.

I would take the dogs to the nearest open field or dog park so I could run around with them and keep them entertained the entire time. I would also be careful not to bring them too close to other dogs, because you never know another dogs personality. I would always clean up after the dogs and keep them hydrated and make sure that the dogs get the optimal exercise experience possible.

I have experience walking multiple dogs, but unless from the same household I prefer solo walks to prevent passing of different diseases or illnesses. Depending on the breed, age, and attitude of the dog would determine how active or leisurely our walks would be, and of course what the owner would prefer. I will make sure every walked dog feels loved, excellent adventures, healthy exercise, and a big side of fun!!!

When walking with dogs I like to have them enjoy themselves by exploring and having a good exercise. I prefer to walk dogs one at a time depending on the breed. If I see another dog, I prefer to ignore them, or avoid them, and continue on our walk as I would not know the temperament of the other, unknown dog. I also do not mind going for a run, or riding a skateboard with your dog as long as they are comfortable with me. A walk should always be enjoyable for the dog ,and help them with their training and social skills.

I can happily walk up to two dogs, leisurely or actively. I would be doing so solo, taking your dog(s) out to the park or anywhere dog-friendly would be preferable (like outside shopping malls or friendly neighborhoods). I also am very cautious in making sure that I'm not riding bikes or anything similar to that, because I want to make sure that the dog is walking at a comfortable, but fun rate. I don't want to exhaust dogs on walks, so I make sure it is at a good pace. I also make sure that the pavement I am walking the dog on is at a good temperature (sometimes, pavement is too hot, even for a dog's paws). My eyes stay peeled on the dog(s) on walks, and I like to jog for a little during walks here and there.

Depending on the dogs energy level, i usually start with a walk around the block to warm up the joints and muscles before excelling into a light jog into running. upon pet parents request of course. I take them different ways to help stimulate the their mind with different obstacles and routes.

* If your pet is not too great around other pets, I will keep them well behaved by using positive reinforcement with treats.

I can walk dogs solo and leisurely. I like to just take them around the area so that they are familiar with their surroundings, always kept on the leash. I tend to avoid coming into contact with other dogs and make sure that no one tries to pet them while i am walking them. I clean up after the dogs. I like to walk one dog at a time so that I can give that dog my full attention.

I am a very active individual that can easily adapt to any dog's needs. When I take my dog out for walks, we usually go on a pretty lengthy leisurely walk. I'm sure to pack bowls and water in case he gets thirsty. I have walked multiple dogs at once plenty of times as well. Obviously if the doggy needs to run around more, I am always ready to go on a run.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Fullerton

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Fullerton, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Fullerton. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
