I like to take dogs on leisurely walks, normally solo, around the neighborhood or possibly to one of the local trails. I am willing to travel approximately 7 miles from my home to offer this service. I enjoy walking on my own, so it would be nice to have a furry companion!

I’m very flexible with dog walking. I can take your furry friend for leisurely walks, if preferred, around the block and to nearby parks. Or, we can go for active walks or runs, and even a few hikes here and there if your dog is interested.

I can also go on 1-on-1 walks with your pup, but I can also bring my pup along if your dog likes company. I'm easy! My schedule is also quite flexible, given that I am a student. I am usually available during the day for dog walks. Get in touch and we can talk details!

I offer a one-on-one service! On occasion, if I'm boarding a small dog, I will bring them along on the walk if everyone is OK with that. I've never had an issue, in fact both dogs are usually well behaved - must be a peer thing!
As I walk fairly fast, you dog will get a good work out. If your dog is older or has issues then I gear the walk for them. You let me know what works for your pet!
I always have doggie bags on hand and practice quick clean ups.
I also carry pepper spray with me in case another dog bolts out of nowhere and is aggressive. My concern is the dog I'm taking care of.

Depending on the dog and capabilities, I like to run with really active dogs, throw the ball and with smaller dogs I usually walk, It is really up to the owner what type of exercise they want their dog to get! I am very active myself so I love having a walking companion, and am willing to walk more than 1 dog if the owner has multiple pets!

Adventurous and fun! I love to hit the trails or the beach and go exploring. I am most comfortable with on-leash walks only, at least until I get to know the dog and know that we are able to be safe off-leash. For pups who like to run, I love having a four-legged running buddy by my side.

I can walk or run with your dog depending on the health level that you wish them to have. I can walk up to 3 dogs but would prefer to run with only 2. I have had dogs my entire life and have always walked them, I can also leash train your dog if you would like.

Depending on what your dog prefers, leisurely or active walks are available. I love to go hiking and running, but am also up for slower, leisurely and relaxed walks. Generally solo walks but could also do multiple dogs depending on temperament and situation. I have a lot of experience with my family's dog, Jada, who has some obedience and aggression issues, particularly around other dogs. I am somewhat confident with walking dogs with some behavioural issues but in these situations, I could do solo walks only.

Walks will be active and half an hour minimum, always considering dogs' needs. Usually I will try to get away from roads so the dogs can enjoy the walk. Walks are always on leash. If the dog is good with other dogs, it can include time in a properly fenced dog park.

Will depend on the dog and it's age and energy level. Customized for each dog. Access to local parks, sea parks and large dog park. I love to go on forest hikes with the dogs that enjoy a more rugged walk, including a trip to the beach or lake for those that love water.

i walk and tend to do lots of exercise. if your pets are highly active then we can switch between running and walking; if your pets want to enjoy the sunshine, we can also do that by walking casually. i can also manage to walk with mutiple dogs but preferably, walking with 2 or 3 dogs is my favourite.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Victoria

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Victoria, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Victoria. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
