I like to take them on leisurely walks around the nearest park or we could go to the dog park and play catch if they're feeling more active. All walks will be solo for the first walk. After me and doggie get to know each other more can join the pack if the owners agree.

All walks will be close to your home and they will all be based upon your dog's needs! If your dog isn't very active then we will have a leisurely walk in the neighborhood to stop and smell the roses! If you have an active dog I don't mind going for a run with him/her to let out some energy!

I will take animals to a park to play with them, let them play and run around, we can go on jogs, Casual walks for potty breaks, I can either take multiple dogs or solo dogs depending on the dog. Walks can be a quick outside break, or a long walk for exercise. Dogs will be serviced with what is needed. Breaks for water and food will be done as needed.

My walks are typically longer 3 days out of the week with 2 days leisure walking. Dog parks or back yard ball throwing (if feasible) are helpful on leisure days when your furry pup would like a change of scenery and perhaps a bit of play.

I'm willing to walk multiple dogs or single ones. Preference would be for no more than two dogs at a time.

I am a responsible grandmother, experienced pet sitter, and genuine animal lover. I will come to your home so that your pet's routine is followed with fresh water & food plus lots of playful loving attention and a walk if you prefer. While you are away, I will email or text you pix and video clips of your pet's staycation. If you work long hours or need to be out of town, you can rely on me to provide careful, detailed care for your pet so you can relax. I make my own dog's food at home, and I feel like our pets are our family members. I also work on mission projects (usually in town), but they rarely interfere with taking care of pets on weekends, early weekday mornings, and weekday evenings. Sometimes I travel, so book early if you can! However, I also am flexible when it comes to last-minute pet visits. I have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, hamsters, chickens, pet rats, pet snakes, and a hedgehog. If I am booked or busy, I have two family members who help out.

Top tips for getting started with a dog walker in Little Rock

  1. Look for a dog walker who has passed a background check.
  2. Ask a DogVacay dog walker for a free Meet-n-Greet. Take your pet for a short stroll in Little Rock, letting the dog walker hold the leash. You’ll know quickly if this is the right person for your pet.
  3. Then visit your home with the dog walker, so your pet becomes comfortable with this person in the dog’s territory.
  4. Make plans for letting the DogVacay dog walker into your home. Some people may feel comfortable providing a key. Others keep a key in a combination lockbox. Many people use smart locks and programmable key codes.
  5. Discuss the length and route of the walk in your neighborhood in Little Rock. Cover what kind of updates you want (such as a “bathroom” log or behavior notes).
  6. Explain what your treat policy is after a walk. Keep treats safely stored, and let the dog walker know where to find them.
  7. Make sure your pet has the right harnesses, collars, leashes and equipment for a safe and fun walk.
