“As Kayla's grandmother, I have watched her love and care for dogs since she was a toddler. When she was 2 years old, she would spend hours cuddling and playing with her family's Chihuahua, Gizzy. As she grew older, she helped walk and feed Gizzy, plus 2 other dogs that joined her family. When Kayla was a middle-schooler and I had to move to an apartment temporarily and could not take my beloved dog Sesi, I entrusted her to Kayla's care at her house for an entire year. At the beginning of the pandemic, when Kayla was a high school senior and lived with me, we adopted a rescued dog, Sweetie, and Kayla became her primary caregiver during that time. Now that Kayla is grown and has her own home, I have entrusted Sweetie to Kayla's care on a permanent basis. Kayla has assumed ownership of Sweetie, including caring for her through eye surgery a few months ago. She is very conscientious about Sweetie's medications, diet, exercise, and grooming. Most of all, they love each other unconditionally. In addition to our family's dogs, Kayla has cared for other people's dogs as a kennel helper in her co-op job during her senior year. She has also ridden horses since she was 3, and she loves bathing, grooming, and feeding them almost as much as riding! All in all, Kayla is a responsible, loving, knowledgeable animal caregiver, and she is ready to start her career doing what she loves!”

About: I have 3 years of veterinary experience, and comfortable working with all types of cats and dogs (including fractious, untrained, diabetic, blind, etc.). I have experience giving medications through all routes, including shots. I am an Equine Sciences major at Auburn and work part time at a veterinary clinic right off campus. I can do drop-by visits any time between 6:00am-7am, 12:00am - 1:00pm, and any time after 6:00pm. I can pet sit, walk, or take dogs to the park anytime on weekends. While working in client's homes I will send any desired photos and/or texts on when I arrive/leave. I will report any accidents that take place or any problems pets may be having.

I make sure to adhere to their routines and maintain a clean environment, keeping food and water bowls filled, litter boxes scooped, and living areas tidy. Trust is paramount in my pet care approach. I understand that leaving a beloved pet in someone else's care can be daunting, so I strive to build trust with both the pet and the pet parent. I communicate openly and regularly with clients, providing updates and photos to reassure them that their furry family member is in good hands.

About: There have been pets in my house since the day I was born, and I have been taking care of them since I was old enough to. I have always loved being with all types of animals and enjoy taking care of them. If I get a chance to spend time with your furbabies, I will take care of them like they are my own! I recently graduated with my Master of Social Work degree, and I am in a transition between school and a "big girl" job. This allows me to be flexible and available to house sit and dog walk most days and times of the week! I get to know each pet's unique personality and needs and adapt my actions to exactly what the pet requires. I would meet with the owner in order to get the best understanding of their pet as possible.
