I basically grew up with dogs, as my family was a foster family for a local ASPCA group. Many times, we ended up keeping a dog we were fostering because we became so attached! I would tag along with my mom to obedience training with our dogs, which taught me how to have a good relationship with them. When I was old enough, I got a job working at a doggy daycare and grooming facility. My duties included exercising and playing with the dogs to ensure they would be tired when they went home, picking up any accidents, feeding and providing clean water, discouraging bad behavior, and preventing any doggy disagreements. I also learned some basic grooming skills, such as bathing, drying, brushing, and nail trimming. I am currently working at another doggy daycare/boarding facility so I am very comfortable with meeting the different needs that each dog that comes through. I am at ease with any size/breed of dog (my best friend was an English Mastiff!) As a disclaimer, I am also a student at WSU, so . will need to know if there are any specific needs time-wise.
