Hi! My name is Phil, and I'd love to watch over your dog while you get away for work or some much-needed vacation! I live with my wife, I have always had dogs, including Dachshunds, Belgian Shepherds, and Bavarian Mountain Hounds. My wife grew up with Irish Setters and Golden Retrievers, so we both have extensive knowledge of what it takes to keep dogs happy and healthy! We have two dogs currently, an 8-year-old hound mix and a 7-year-old lab mix(we think?). We both WFH, have cared for many different breeds and temperaments, and regularly foster on the side when we are not watching people's dogs.

Philip and his wife (and fur babies) were so good to Izzy and we can’t thank them enough. They were super communicative and responsive throughout the whole process, walked her several times to get her energy out and sent us pics and updates. Plus, they’re just friendly and relaxed people to work with overall. Thank you! We will see you again in the future :)
Philip took great care of Rocky and communicated with us regularly, including info about how he was adjusting and eating etc. Philip is thoughtful about dog sitting and responsible. I highly recommend.
Phil and Robin took great care of Pippa. She clearly got plenty of play time and we got regular photos, updates, and video. She got lots of walks and they made sure she was in a comfortable place when it was thundering. Definitely recommend!

While staying with me, you can expect emails and texts with photos, as well as frequent updates for anything we discussed prior to you leaving your dog with me. I'm happy to provide references if that would ease your mind, and am happy to answer any and all questions! The only thing we ask is to set up a meet and greet with your dog so that you are comfortable with them in our home.

As long as your dog(s) are friendly with animals we pretty much are fine with anything, our dogs are used to other animals being in the house as we foster dogs, and they love the company!
A typical day
I love to take the dogs to Washington Park and for long walks around the neighborhoods! We also sometimes will drive out a bit and go for a nice long hike if you are ok with that! While at home dogs are welcome around our house, we both WFH so they won't often be alone, and we love to play during the day.

Availability
We live in a house with very dog friendly stairs, and a big private back yard. We both work from home, and your dog will only be left alone for short periods of time, never for a full day or close to it. I generally do 3 walks a day (weather permitting), for a total of 3-4 hours of exercise, and we love playing ball in our back yard for extra exercise if it's too cold!
