TOTAL Dog Mom <3

Pet care experience

**I can only provide boarding & day care (at my home) for small dogs at this time :( All other services (walking, day visits at your home, transportation, etc) are available for dogs of all sizes! :) ** My Qualifications: -Hold a California Private Kennel License -Foster for Angels For Animals -Delivered & Raised Multiple Litters -Fostered 6 dogs -Proud Pet Parent to 5 Beautiful Pups About Me: I have a BA in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship but have always had a deep love for animals. Growing up I have owned cats, dogs, snakes, newts and even hedgehogs. I currently have 5 dogs: 4 chihuahua's and a small lab-mix -yes its crazy, I know, but they are my world. I am a total dog mom and in order to make sure my fur babies get the best care possible I decided not to pursue a traditional office job (thanks to the hubs support!) . We get many compliments on how well mannered our pups are so I figure I must be doing something right in raising them! :) My daily routine revolves around them but even with 5 dogs I have time to spare, which is why began offering pet services so I can do the same for other peoples pets! Since I have such a passion for animals pet sitting was just a natural fit for me. Not only do I LOVE spending time with my pet clients but it makes me happy to know that I can provide loving care for pets that would otherwise be home alone. Every client becomes my baby and even though nothing replaces their mom and dad, I strive to be the next best thing! My goal is to always build a strong relationship with my furry clients while providing responsible care and ensuring their emotional well-being and providing LOTS of affection. I basically want to be their #2 favorite person in the world (right behind mom & dad) Growing up, I was the go-to neighborhood petsitter in my neighborhood. My first client was a saint Bernard when I was 12yrs old. When I left for college the first thing I did was adopt a dog of my own to replace the void left by Maggie, our families dog. After college I got married and together my husband and I expanded our dog family... by 5! I quit work in order to care for them (thanks to the support of my wonderful husband!) and have now been a full-time dog mom for 4 year. I have lots of experience carrying for dogs of various sizes and ages and health conditions. I raised three of our dogs from birth and last year I fostered a pregnant dog and her 5 puppies. Needless to say after three liters I have lots of experience in the pregnant dogs and puppies arena. Having had so many dogs for such an extended period of time, I am very good at understanding dogs body language and needs. I also have a wide variety of experience in handling injuries and illnesses so if something happens to your pet while I am with them rest assured I will be able to take the right steps to get them the care they need. I understand first hand how nerve-racking it can be trusting someone new to care for your pet but I assure you, your pet is in good hands. I have personally experienced a situation in which a petsitter did not care for my pets as was promised, so I know just how vulnerable and hurtful that is. To help build confidence that your pet is happy and safe I will happily send you pictures each visit so that you are able to verify I am there when I say I am and see your pet (because who knows your pets body language better than you!?) Thank you for considering me to take care of your precious pet. Feel free to ask me anything. I am very open to sharing my experiences and pet-parenting style. Also, if you have a pet other than dogs (since I've spent all this time talking about dogs) feel free to message me about my experience with other types of animals. I have had many kinds of animals and would be happy to tell you how long I had them and what kind of caregiving experience I have had with them. I love all animals and will treat your pets just like I treat mine, that means lots of love, snuggles, treats and affection. What A Typical Day Looks Like: -Staying at my house - **I can only provide day care and boarding for small dogs at this time :( ** For stays at my home your pet will get the full treatment. I have 4 girl chihuahuas and a lab mix who will welcome your pup and give them companionship. We live in a detached single family house with a large fenced in backyard. I keep the house very tidy and regularly wash all the blankets and dog bedding. Our mornings start by immediately going outside to go potty in the backyard then I take everyone into the kitchen for their medication. If your pup is not on medication they will get a spoon full of tasty wet food so they can be part of the event. Once everyone has collected their morning treat they head to the dog beds for some relaxing sunbathing under the bay window or to the backyard to chase the squirrels in our huge trees. Around 9-10am I like to take everyone out for some exercise. I try to rotate our activities so no one gets bored but our usual options range between 3 walking routes (about 1 mile each) and three big parks filled with squirrels and soft green grass. After our daily activity we head back to the house and on hot days everyone gets a frozen organic chicken broth cube with a treat frozen inside to help cool off. Then its usually nap time (their preference) in one of our 9 dog beds. The rest of the day will be spent just hanging out with me in the house or our fenced-in back yard. We have a doggy door so they will have full autonomy to choose inside or outside. They will get lots of snuggles and affection while we are hanging out and have full access to food, water and toys. I may have to run out for an errand here or there (if this is a full-day stay) but its never for more than 2 hours & I will separate the dogs to their own quiet places while I am away. My routine for leaving is to get everyone calmly settled into their beds, give them a treat and quietly leave. I also always leave a radio on for them and we have a dog cam so I can monitor them from my phone. If your pets stay happens to fall on a weekend they will be fully integrated into our plans (which always revolve around our pets) whether that be a hike or an exciting walk to downtown Willow Glen were we always stop for a special treat. Rest assured your pet will be part of the family while with us. Pictures of our home are included in my profiles photos! Your House: For day visits. I do my best to maintain your pets regular routine and minimize any stress. We will take a 30 min walk on a route of your recommendation and make sure your pet does its business outside. Every client will have unique needs so before I come for a house visit, I will consult with you about your unique needs and what a typical day looks like for your pet. Regardless of your pets routine I will make sure they receive lots of affection and are feeling loved and happy. I am confident that I can adequately care for any of your pets special needs. What I need to know about your pet: Before carrying for any animal we will schedule a meet and greet so that we have a chance to meet in person and talk about your pets needs. During that meeting we will go over all the information that is needed according to your specific type of pet care. For day-visits or walks I will ask about any behavioral issues I need to know about, how friendly your pet is with people or other animals we may encounter on walks, food restrictions & allergies, recommended walking routes and your vets information in the event of an emergency. For more extensive care such as overnights we will talk about feeding schedules, allergies, bathroom routines, medical needs, emergency vet care, pets personal preferences, etc. I will basically ask you everything I would want someone who was watching my pets to know and you will be free to share/ask me anything you like as well.

Emily is a true god sent! This is a sitter with the truest biggest heart ever. Let me start by saying we dropped them off the day after her birthday which was three days before Christmas! I bought her a birthday present ans silly me forgot it and she was so sweet. Our very finicky puppies got along amazingly well with her! She took the time to communicate with us regularly and send us photos, videos and text! We picked them up on Christmas eve and she made herself available even then! Our pups had an accident and we even ran out of food. She gave our puppies house food. Honestly this is the most giving person on the planet. My only gripe is I am far too late with this review. We want to use Emily for all of our vacations including a 10 day trip we are taking. Emily thank you!!

Emily is amazing. This was I and Babee's first time using Rover. Emily proposed us the pre-meeting with her super friendly dogs in the park before reservation and sent a lot of lovely photos during Babee's stay. These gave me relief and comfortableness. Thanks to Emily, I was able to really enjoy my vacation.

Emily is an excellent sitter, that's all I can say. My dog Charlie has anxiety issue and other problems, but Emily was willing to take extra steps to make him feel welcome and comfortable. I received updates and pictures from Emily which makes me feel comforting while my baby is away from me. I can't thanks her enough for taking care of my baby so well.

Emily and her husband were so great with our puppy, Finn. He's typically very shy & unsure of new people, but when we came to pick him up after a few days he was excited, well-fed and extremely happy! Multiple updates and photos each day made our trip worry free. We would book with Emily again in a heartbeat.
