Pet care experience
Hi! I'm a freelance photographer based in Brooklyn with a flexible schedule. I mostly work from home and definitely will be working from home on days I dog sit. I am incredibly loving and caring towards dogs and also active, which is great for younger more energetic dogs. I am playful and curious and dogs seem to like that. I have experience with older dogs as well and can provide medicine and the care they need. My friends and family tend to say that I have a spiritual connection with dogs, I happen to agree. In my experience as a sitter and walker, owners have loved my communication and special care and love for their dogs. I live in a spacious apartment in Brooklyn on the second floor. I live 8 blocks away from Fort Greene Park which is a great place for lengthy and fun dog walks. I have one roommate, who also loves dogs. I've mostly focused on providing dog sitting care to three friends of mine over the past few years, hence a bit of inactivity on Rover, but with the pandemic, I have more free time and would love to care for your beloved pets. The pandemic has also caused financial strain and pushed back my dream of getting my own pup, but I hope to in the next few years!

There are no other animals in the home. At your home, I will follow all the safety precautions you have in place to keep your pup safe, happy and healthy!

It's important for me to know if your dog has any behavioral issues. That could include aggression or shyness around food, other dogs, children or other people. I'd like to know how protective your dog is around food and treats. If your dog has any health issues, please let me know. I cared for three senior dogs for many years and I currently take care of a dog often who suffers from seizures. It's very important to me to know any nuances and specifics about your dog so I can make sure to provide them with safety and security as well as keeping other people and dogs safe!
A typical day
I love to take dogs who are trained and good off leash to Fort Greene before 9AM and after 9PM for socializing with other dogs and some rigorous fetch! Though of course, only if the owner is comfortable with that. I also only do that with dogs who I've known for some time. When I dogsit I usually take dogs for three lengthy walks a day and play lots of tug of war and mini fetch inside! Also lots of cuddles!

Availability
As a freelance photographer my weeks can all be a bit different, though most days I work from home. If your dog is booked with me I wouldn't be gone for more than a few hours at a time. When dogsitting, I like to start my morning with a walk to the park, then start work and take a break for lunch and a walk before the rest of the work day. By evening I'm usually at home cooking dinner and spending quality time with your pup, before a bedtime walk!
