About Leslie

7 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello! My name is Leslie and I am a dog lady! First off, thank you for considering me to be trusted with your pets. I know what it's like to leave my pets with a sitter. My goal of pet sitting is to alleviate some of the nervousness and help make pet ownership in general easier for pet parents. I think providing good support helps keep pets in a forever home and am happy to provide advice for dealing with any pet related issues you have, whether it be shedding, marking, or even dealing with health issues.

What people like best about us:
-We have both high energy and low energy dogs so all guests can have a companion with similar energy levels
-We are experienced pet sitters and knowledgeable of dog behaviors
-We are close to the airport and can accommodate late night pickupsat no extra charge
-Our house is set up to facilitate pet care

What some guests may not like:
-We work during the day Monday thru Friday and cannot always come home at lunch. We usually require early morning drop off times during the weekdays.

A little about me: In addition to our 4 dogs, I also foster for OK Humane. I work for OUPhysicians as a Research Management Coordinator and am subject to regular background checks by my employer.

We have approx. 1700 square feet of space in our historic home for your pet to roam, a beautiful tree-lined neighborhood for walks, plus a fenced backyard for potty breaks. We allow free-range indoor roaming while we are at work for pets that are potty trained. We can use either crates or diapers to help pets that are prone to accidents. We LOVE small playful dogs- our Scooby thinks he is tiny and likes to share his toys with his smaller, high-energy friends. All of our dogs are friendly and have not had any aggression issues. All of our dogs stay up to date on vaccinations and heartworm preventative and are seen regularly by our vet. We welcome reasonable accommodations or special requests- just ask! We promise to treat your pet like family and will send a daily text or email photo or video update from your pet. We can also use a GPS-enabled dog walking app that allows you to see a map, time info, and even where your pet relieved him or herself during the walk!

We are flexible and can accommodate your pets' needs. We work Monday thru Friday during the day, but can sometimes come home for mid-day potty breaks if your pet needs more frequent breaks. We usually are not gone for more than 2-3 hours at a time on weekends. I am a daily runner and can take your pet for a morning run up to 4 miles per day on weekdays or up to 20 miles on weekends. If your dog has a high energy level or is prone to chewing, barking, or separation anxiety, going for even a short run does wonders! Our dogs eat Nature's Recipe Limited Ingredient or Nature's Recipe Skin and Joint dry kibble. While we are happy to provide food, we recommend that you send food to avoid tummy aches.
house has literally "gone to the dogs". We have even arranged the furniture in our home to facilitate caring for pets.

Our guests usually sleep in our bedroom or our Dog Lounge, alarge master bedroomt we now use as a big open space to play with the dogs. In addition to our king sized bed, we have a fullsized futon, dseverall XL dog bed, plus plenty of comforters, pillows, and toys. We usually let smaller dogs sleep in the bed with usorm in a crate if they prefer a crate at night. We allow pets on our large sectional and chairs in our living area. We do not leave our pets unattended outside for longer than a potty break (approx 15 minutes).

We are happy to administer your pet's oral or topical medication.

Restrictions:
We cannot care for aggressive dogs or dogs with current flea, tick, or other contagious infections. All pets must be up to date with rabies, parvovirus, and bordatella vaccinations. We also cannot care for pets who destructively chew unless they are allowed to be crated when unattended.

We require a meet and greet prior to booking for the safety of all pets. The Meet and Greet allows us to talk about your pet's schedule, let him or her explore the house with you, and allows us to introduce our dogs. It really helps our guests to not have anxiety on drop off day if they have had a chance to explore the house with theirfamily. Many pet parents have said the Meet and Greet put their mind at ease since they were able to see how much fun their pets were going to have!

st. I am CPR and AED/Basic Life Support Provider certified by the American Heart Association (human certification) with knowledge of applying CPR principles to pets. I have also completed the American Red Cross First Aid course.

To our past guests: Thank you so much for your sweet reviews. We loved getting to know all of your pets and have so many fun memories of each of t hem!

Leslie was a wonderful host to Jupiter!

Jupiter had a blast and felt welcomed by Leslie, her family, and the other dogs. Leslie was very accommodating to Jupiter's needs. The picture updates and check ins while I was out of town really made the difference. I didn't have to worry about anything and could see how well Jupiter was loving his stay.

I look forward to boarding with her again!

I boarded my pup w/ Leslie and her family, and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. Leslie was kind, professional, easy to talk to/communicate with, and obviously loves animals. My pupper is high energy and has insane excercise requirements (she follows me on single track MTB runs for miles and doesn't break a sweat [or pant]). In my experience, most people find high energy/high excercise requirements obnoxious if not entirely frustrating, but Leslie is a distance runner and was kind enough to include my dog on her long runs. I was so greatful for this! My poor dog loses her damn mind if she doesn't get adequate excercise.

You can expect picture updates via text, quick response time, and flexible scheduling. These guys were great, and truly put my mind at ease while I was out of town. I will definitely use them again.

Our 2 year old Golden Retriever had a great time at Leslie's house! When we picked her up she looked right at home. Her dogs are all very sweet, and so is she! We will definitely use her again!
Leslie was fantastic! Our big dog seemed so small next to the giant Great Danes, but they were so friendly and Jack(our dog) had no problem with them.
Lots of space for the dogs, and LOTS of socialization. Leslie was incredible with being extremely flexible with a late check in and later check out. Serious life saver! :)

Leslie and family were Awesome, I couldn't ask for a better pet sitter for my dog. Leslie sent numerous updates and pictures the entire week. Mila looked very happy and content. She is a very high energy dog 10 month old Border Collie and Australian Sheppard mix. Leslie has 4 dogs of her own so Mila had plenty of dogs to keep her company and play with. You can tell they love dogs. Leslie also took detailed notes and made every effort to accommodate every need. I will definitely use Leslie again any time I am out of town and need a sitter.

Our dog came home exhausted and happy. The experience with Leslie was great from start to finish. She is a very kind person and obviously a dog lover. We will definitely be back!
Great experience, very dog friendly home, got update pictures of my puppy while he was with Leslie, would recommend her to everyone
This is Asher's new home away from home here in OKC...I love this family and Asher loves going here! This family is so fun and I feel so comfortable leaving him with them every time!!!
I'm an over the road trucker, and I had a medical emergency passing thru OKC. I didn't know what to do with my little girl dog, so I went online and found dog vacay. I selected Leslie because of her good feedback, and couldn't be happier. She's an obvious dog lover. She picked my dog up from my work because of my condition. She sent daily pictures too. She went way beyond what I would expect. She even offered to go shopping for me, and bring me anything I might need during my stay. I would definitely recommend Leslie to anyone needing someone to take care of their loved one. Leslie is the best. She kept me updated on my dogs well being, and it reassured me not having to worry about her during my hospital stay.
THANK YOU LESLIE!!!

This was my first experience with DogVacay, and I was very impressed by both the process and our host. Leslie made me feel at ease from the second I arrived to drop off our senior GSP. Leslie took the time to ask questions and take notes about our dog's routine and make sure the premises were in suitable condition for an escape-artist. I received daily updates with pictures and Leslie even offered to take our dog on a walk right before pick-up, knowing that we had a long car ride ahead of us. I could not have been more satisfied with the level of care that Leslie and her family showed. We will definitely be back!

Great dog sitter.
Delilah came home EXHAUSTED and completely content. She absolutely had a blast and played her little heart out. Leslie is an active person and seems to keep the dogs active with her. We will be using her again in the future during travel.
We dropped Dusty Lee, our chihuahua off for 5 days and got updates everyday!!! He had a blast everyday with the much bigger dogs with great temperament. Leslie is down to earth and really knows what she's doing and it shows that she has a passion for animals and will treat yours like her own. She will always be our first choice anytime we need to leave Dusty Lee anywhere overnight with no worries and we would recommend her everytime.

My dog had an amazing time with Leslie and her family. It was like a home away from home. I will definitely be comtacting them again next time!
Great place! Leslie trimmed my pups nails free of charge! Prince loves her sweet hearted dogs, and had a great time! I will be using Leslie again, she's a sweet, all-around dog person.
It was the first time I have left my pup and was very nervous. Leslie instantly made me and my pup feel at home. It was a last minute trip and she made time from my busy schedule to meet the little guy and make sure he would be okay in with her and her family. He loved it!! He didn't want to come home with me, enjoyed his time with her family no doubt. She always sent photos and updates on what he was up to for the day. Highly highly recommend and can't wait to use her again.

Leslie and her family are some of the nicest and caring people ever.
They took such great care of Asher, he was a little sad to leave his new friends.

Leslie and her family are awesome doggy sitters. Maggie had a blast and we were put at ease so we could enjoy our trip. Best experience ever!
Leslie and her sweet family took the best care of our dog, Sadie during a much needed vacation for us. We could not have asked for better personalized attention. We received daily pictures and updates and Sadie clearly had a wonderful time! Knowing she was in such caring hands allowed us to truly relax during our vacation. I highly recommend Leslie and her pack :)

Leslie and her family are awesome. They sent us pictures and up dates all the time. We have 2 small pugs. Pebbles has scoliosis and is blind. They took extra steps to make sure she was happy and safe. Both my girls got along well with all her furbabies. Isis is a normal 24 pound pug and pebbles is only 8 pounds and the big dogs were awesome. The whole experience from first introduction and pick up was seamless. I will be using Leslie and her family in the future and have already recommended to a few friends and family.
