Karen has many years of experience caring for dogs with different temperaments and behaviors. She's also very attuned to the needs of guest dogs and will routinely provide updates and pictures during the vacay. Dogs staying with her will definitely enjoy the spacious fenced-in backyard her home has to offer as well!
This was the first time I left my dog Mindy with anyone other than family. I am pleased with how well she did. Karen made her feel very welcome and put her at ease. She also put me at ease by sending photos and videos of Mindy each day. Karen seems to be very knowledgeable about dogs and their needs and habits. I would not hesitate to have her watch Mindy again.
Karen was great! Our puppy is extremely active but she did not seem to mind. She did a lot of activities with him, even scheduled play dates. He was a tired boy when we brought him home. She is flexible and you can tell that she really likes dogs. Karen also texted updates as to how he was doing.
Karen kept our little guy for 11 days, the longest we have ever left him. He did great and warmed up to Karen and her family quickly. He also enjoyed spending time with his new friend Twinkie. Karen sent lots of pics and videos. She took great care of our fur baby!
Karen was great on short notice and had a spacious yard for the dogs to enjoy.
Karen knows dogs better than anyone I have ever met. My dog Tate adores her and her family and she treats him like one of her own! He is always excited to get to her house and exhausted for several days after he comes home due to frequent walks and activities. It truly is a vacation for him and I don't worry a bit while we are gone. She sends us photos and videos throughout the week to keep us informed about how much fun he is having. We love Karen and our dog Tate does to. I highly recommend her!!
I simply cannot recommend Karen enough for your dog's vacay. She is WONDERFUL! I recent had a tough situation with my dog, Dex, coming down with a horrendous allergic reaction just in time for a business trip i had to make. And Karen stepped in, took care of him for the whole week, sent me pictures of him recovering. She was so enthusiastic to take care of him and also administer his medication on my behalf. I could not have left him with anyone else other than Karen, not even my friends, with the confidence that he will be well looked after. When I came back to town, Dex was almost back to his best and was healthy and happy! Karen, you ROCK!
Archie is always so happy to stay with Karen! And I am always glad to know he's in such good hands when I'm away. He had a grrrrrreat time - again!
This was our first time using any dog sitter from the website, and Karen was great! It was easy to set up plans with her, and I felt that she was responsive to any requests we made for our dog Loki. She made sure that he had plenty of exercise while we were gone, and he was also able to play with other dogs. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Karen, and we felt confident that we left Loki in good hands.
Archie always has such a wonderful time! I can tell he had fun and got to play a lot; there's no one else I would trust my little guy with more than Karen! I wish I could give her 10 stars, not just five, because it's so reassuring to be able to travel and know he is in such good hands. She sends photos and notes from Archie while we're gone, which makes us feel so happy!
Karen is very kind and cheerful.
There is no one else I would trust my dogs with so completely. Karen is an amazing host and one of the most caring, competent pet sitters I have ever known. I have never had such peace of mind leaving my pets in someone else's care.
Karen has watched Malakai twice for us now- the second visit was for over a week. He was so happy to see Karen when I dropped him off for a second stay so I could tell his previous experience had been a positive one. We received lots of fun pictures and Karen kept me updated on his stay all the time. He looked great when I picked him up the second time and it is obvious he was well taken care of. The best thing about Karen is she is very knowledgeable on dog behavior. She really is an expert read which means she is very capable of discerning dogs' needs and keeping multiple dogs safe. We are very happy with our experience!! Thanks Karen!!
Karen, Thanks to you and your family for making Lucky one of your own. We really felt like Lucky was cared for in the same way we love her. This was a long trip for us. I have never left her for a this long, so we were extremely happy to come home to a happy healthy dog. Your photos and call helped to reassure us that she was doing well. Great job, well worth it, I am happy with the service you provided. I will recommend you to any one that needs care for their dog. Thanks again, Mary
Karen was very helpful and my dog Dex had a great time when he spent the weekend with her and her family. She sent updates, and pictures of him while i was gone which was great to see. She was also very flexible with pickup and drop off times, and worked with me to arrange the times which was very helpful. Karen is very knowledgeable about dogs and will put effort into making sure that your dog enjoys his vacay. I highly recommend Dog Gone Fun Camp for your dog's vacation.
Since moving to Cincinnati almost a year ago, we have struggled to find the right sitter for our two Boston terriers - until now! Karen offered the perfect environment for them, and we could tell they had been very well cared for during their stay. When I dropped them off, they were already settling in like they lived there, which is not how they typically respond to a new setting. And when we picked them up, both my dogs were very happy and relaxed. My dogs are older, and so they have certain special requirements, but Karen did not seem to mind that at all. She sent photos during their short stay and reassured us that they were doing great. Karen is exactly the dog caretaker we have been looking for, and I am so glad we found her!
This was our first experience using Dog Vacay and it was wonderful! Karen is a caring, involved host and we were so at ease on our trip, knowing Rupert (our pug) was being cared for so well. She worked with us on drop off/pick up times with flexibility. She even sent us a message with a fun picture of Rupert during his stay to let us know how he was doing! We will definitely be using Dog Vacay and, hopefully Karen, again on future trips. Thank you!
we were extremely happy to have karen take care of teddy for us this past weekend...she sent me text messages to assure me he was doing well....we felt he was in caring loving hands and i would not hesitate to recommend her and to have her keep teddy again
This was our first time using DogVacay and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the first communication from Karen put me completely at ease. She was very responsive and helpful when I reached out to her, and was flexible about our schedule when our dates changed to drop off our pup. And we could not have been happier with the experience we and our dog had with Karen.

She clearly knows her way around dogs. When we dropped off our pup, she had us walk down the block a little ways and brought her own dog out after us - her strategy to get them used to each other in a before our dog entered another dog's home territory. It made a lot of sense and seemed to work really well. Karen has a fenced in backyard and a dog-loving family. She sent us text and photo updates, and when I called to check in about when we would pick up our pup, Karen filled me in on everything he'd been up to. When we picked him up, she even showed us some training techniques (he is a young dog who is still learning how to walk without pulling). Our dog had clearly been very happy at Karen's home, and was pleasantly tired out from several days of play.

If you need to board your dog in the Cincinnati area, we HIGHLY recommend Karen!
Karen was the most amazing person that I have come across in my doggy experience. She was attentive, affectionate, helpful and gracious. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs and when our trip was unexpectedly extended, she worked with us to make sure that our little one was well taken care of. As background, we relocated our dog to Cincinnati, Ohio from Dubai, UAE and being a rescue, he was a handful. Karen took to him immediately, put him under her gentle training program and our abused dog blossomed, wagging his tail, as he followed Karen around her house. AWESOME!!!!!!
I searched high and low for someone reputable to care for my German shepherd/mastiff over the Christmas holiday.
And then I found Karen!
OMG, what a wonderful lady she is!
I dropped Ellie off for a 15 day stay while I went home to the UK to visit family. I usually leave Ellie with my in-laws, but being Christmas it was not possible.
Karen and her family went out of their way to ensure that Ellie was comfortable, exercised and extremely spoilt!!
I received regular emails on how she was doing, pictures of her curled up with Sam (Karen's dog)and even a video of her galloping around in the snow!
I cannot imagine a better place for my dog to stay.
Should I need to travel again, Karen will certainly be my first choice.

Thank you so much!!

Dog Gone Fun Camp was a wonderful experience for my pup! Karen went out of her way to take extra-good care of him, including borrowing a dog sweater for him from a neighbor so he wouldn't be cold. She also kept us updated on him when we were traveling, by emailing cute photos and updates (some "written" by our pup himself!) every day. Finally, I am very grateful to Karen for being super flexible about our pickup and drop-off times, and kind and helpful at every point of contact. We look forward to using Dog Gone Fun Camp again!
