“We have always been fortunate enough to leave our dog Keltie with family or friends. This was not an option for our most recent trip. Through Rover.com we discovered Priyanka. What a fantastic discovery! She is such a thoughtful, gentle caregiver for Keltie. Right away she understood Keltie’s personality and needs. Every day we received photos of a smiling, happy dog. We would certainly recommend entrusting your pet’s care to Priyanka.”

3. Darshan & Prarthana P.
“We are so pleased with the care that was provided for our 4 year old “Poochon” Finn. Darshan, Prarthana, their son, and of course their dog Koko, accepted Finn as part of their family. We enjoyed receiving daily photo and text updates of Finn’s time with his vacation family; it was obvious from these communications that Finn was feeling at home. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing that Finn’s well-being was in excellent hands. Darshan and Prarthana were very accommodating with Finn’s love, dietary, and exercise needs. We felt very confident that we had made the right decision after dropping Finn off and seeing our happy, healthy Finn when we picked him up further confirmed that this was the right choice. Our plans changed slightly while we were away and Darshan and Prarthana kindly modified our pickup time without hesitation. We highly recommend Darshan, Prarthana, their son and Koko as responsible and loving pet care givers!”

19. Hayley S.
About: My name’s Hayley and I’ve been an animal lover from a young age; growing up with dogs, cats, rats, and around horses. As an adult I adopted a rescue dog of my own - Brody - eleven years ago. Rescuing an adult dog with an unknown history brought a set of challenges that I am now well versed in managing - namely anxiety and leash reactivity. Every dog is different with their own personality, possible triggers and boundaries, likes and dislikes - just like us! For this reason my intentions with Rover are to deliver individual care, I am not interested in walking or boarding multiple dogs unless they are from the same household, to ensure the best attention and care for everyone. I work remotely and am lucky to have a lot of flexibility with my schedule allowing for mid-day walks, so your dog is sure to get their steps in. It’s also doctor recommended to stop staring at a computer and cuddle a dog throughout the day. Win win! In regards to boarding I live in a pet-friendly, accessible apartment complex with access to quiet walking trails across the street by way of a memorial garden. I’m an avid hiker and would love to take any active guests on a leashed hike through nature (so many smells!). I am comfortable administering oral and injectable medications to dogs due to my experience with my own. For scheduled walks I will do solo walks with your dog, unless there are multiple dogs in your household that can be managed together.
20. Lisa C.
“My sweet little dog, Laney, had her first stay with Lisa and her family. "Zany Laney", as they affectionately nicknamed her, is a rescue with an abused background (former puppy mill mom). While she's a well-loved & pampered pet now, she's had to keep "one eye on mom" in order to feel safe in a new setting, making it hard for me to feel okay leaving her with someone new, particularly when I saw how much fear and anxiety was creeping back in whenever I tried to leave. When I wanted to go on vacation and found out the person that normally watches her was also going to be away, I genuinely thought about cancelling my trip. My friend recommended Rover, and I found Lisa's site. I was impressed by her long history raising and training dogs, and her passion for animals was really clear. Before taking Laney in, she took the time with me to hear my concerns, learn about Laney's history and her funny little quirks, asked lots of questions about Laney and our routines, and I felt like Laney was going to be in really good hands. I also appreciated that Lisa was retired. This assured me that Laney Bee wasn't going to be left alone for any length of time, and that she was going to have lots of comforting company and could keep to the 2-3 hour bathroom breaks that she needed. Whenever Lisa did need to step away, it was reassuring to know that her partner or adult daughter (also big pet lovers!) were there to step in. Every day of my trip, I got funny little updates about how Laney was doing. They included pics of Laney asleep in the sun (Lisa called it "today's action shot", lol!), or curled up beside Lisa's partner as he read the paper, or videos of Laney speed-walking with Lisa and her daughter, both of them giggling as Laney explored the neighbourhood. I really appreciated the time they took to let me know how Laney was doing, and it was wonderful to see how calm, happy, and playful Laney was within just a few hours of meeting Lisa and her family. It helped me to have a great trip away! I would highly recommend Lisa's pet-sitting services and will definitely be booking with her again! Thank you to Lisa and her family for taking such good care of my sweet girl ..... :-) Erica B”
