“Chelsea is everything you can want in a dog sitter. While traveling we needed a dog sitter for us to have a “city day.” Chelsea responded promptly and politely. She was friendly and had great communication with lots of photos throughout our dogs stay. She set up a home base for him to relax near her during the stay. He was happy and relaxed when we picked him up. We will definitely use her services again next time we are in the area.”

About: I've been dogsitting for the last 8 years and love it, as I don't yet have a dog of my own. You may notice I don't have many recent references on my profile because many of the dogs I've sat for have been dogs of my personal training clients. I'm happy to provide more references upon request! I work flexible hours as a personal trainer and yoga teacher and can spend a lot of time with your pup(s)! I'm open to short or long stays. I like to learn each pet's unique routine so I can keep that going for them even while their humans are away. Depending on the pet I'll take them for long walks, hikes, dog parks...you name it.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life and have taken care of them for at least ten years:) (feeding, walking, bathing, administering medications, all the love, playing and pets,etc) I’ve also cared for my very old and very sweet cat who struggled with some basic tasks as he became blind and incontinent up to his parting, and would do the same for any of my families animals! I’ve housesat for a family friend’s 2 cats, as well as for my sisters and former partners 3 cats a couple times, and my other sister’s dog(whom I boarded), bunny, and cat on a handful of occasions:) I also recently just hosted my sister and one of her cats for over a month and now have a space with no pets again:( so I’d be happy to host! I am temporarily unemployed due to layoff during the winter season, therefore I have plenty of free time to provide excellent and holistic care for your pets! Have good amount of indoor space and some shared outdoor yard with picnic table and some frisbee tossing space! There are plenty of nice places to walk around my neighborhood in Winooski, and there’s a dog park 10 mins in walking distance from my apartment!

“I would highly recommend Dawn to take care of your fur baby; she cared for my rambunctious Goldendoodle as if he were her own. She is conveniently located in a quaint neighborhood that has limited traffic and no unleashed dogs; so, in addition to getting exercise in Dawn’s fenced in backyard, my puppy got exercise when Dawn walked around the neighborhood. After playing with toys supplied by Dawn, my dog cozied up to her dog for a nap. I was so hesitant to leave my precious baby with a complete stranger (he’s my first ever dog and I love him so much), but after meeting Dawn, I felt completely at ease entrusting her to take the greatest care of him. About: Hello! I'm a genuine animal lover of all kinds. Grew up wanting to be a veterinarian, somehow stumbled into tech. Currently on sabbatical and missing animals in my life. I have experience with powerful breeds. Formerly a pitbull mommy of 11+ years. Type A, active, rule follower, experienced with positive reinforcement training for dogs. Love cats, cared for them growing up, although I can't say I've had any success there with "training"... :) I'm currently on a sabbatical so my weekly schedule is flexible. Typically bring our 13-year-old Aus Shepherd mix for a long walk in the mornings along the bike path, and again around sunset. Could happily incorporate more exercise for a higher energy pup, or less for those more inclined on couch time. We live in a small water-front home with our senior pup, Peaty. Peaty has free (supervised) reign of the property - we live at the end of the road without traffic, and he enjoys sitting outside watching the world go by... and then sleeping off the afternoon on the couch inside by the wood-burning stove. He's happy to show another pup his lifestyle, and we're also happy to follow stricter rules as needed. With dogs, my philosophy is a well-behaved dog is a well-exercised one. Daily walks are a must!

“Andrea was amazing with our Madison!! Madison stayed with Andrea during the day while my husband and I were leaf-peeping. We were a bit apprehensive at first but, after meeting Andrea, we were completely at ease. Madison was so excited to see Andrea every morning, running to her with her little tail wagging like crazy. Andrea didn't mind that Madison was still a puppy and was potty pad trained. Andrea sent pics and updates on how Mad was doing during the day. Andrea was flexible with our drop off and pick up times, and she met us at the door with Madison every evening! We honestly felt like Madison had a second home while she was with Andrea. We cannot recommend Andrea enough and look forward to our Madison staying with her again.”

About: We are a family of animal lovers here! My husband and I served animals in shelters and hospitals for 15+ years! And want to continue.. I'm currently job searching, working part time and home a lot of the time, and happy to have some pet therapy while I look and help! I have a fenced small yard and a 2.5 year old who goes to daycare. Pets will be on the first floor mostly and get walks and cuddles and everything else in between.
